  1. Verses 1-4: What do these verses reveal about King Ahaz? What actions characterized his reign?
  1. Verses 5-8: Why was Judah invaded by Aram and Israel? What were the results of the invasion?
  1. Verses 9-11: Who interceded for the captives and what was his reasoning?
  1. Verse 12: Who also spoke up for the captives? Why do you think these men spoke up?
  1. Verse 13: What was their reasoning to free the captives?
  1. Verses 14-15: What then happened to the captives?
  1. Verses 16-19: Why did Ahaz ask Assyria for help? What was the cause of these troubles?
  1. Verses 20-21: What happened as a result of Ahaz’s request for help?
  1. Verses 22-23: How did Ahaz become unfaithful to the Lord? What was his reasoning?
