  1. Emails of thanks from the Clerk of the Course, flaggies & new members for a great weekend at “The Big Chill” in Stanthorpe.
  1. Email from Jason Light re; Expressions of Interest in P6 Bikes – see website.
  1. Congratulatory letter from MQ on auditing the “Big Chill” race meeting. Only three recommendations were made:- Warning to the Public signs to be obtained from MQ, 6 fire extinguishers to be purchased and the local hospital to be notified of the meeting.
  1. Discussions were had between the President & MA regarding the proposed changes to the rules. All members want the brake & Carby rules to remain unchanged which is likely but MA are wanting to change the “presentation” rule “scruffy looking bikes”. The members object to this and the president will make our objections known to MA.
  1. Members were reminded that the Aussie & Tasmanian Titles supp regs are now available through links on our website.
  1. Members were reminded that the Laverda Concours aka The Cleveland Bike Show has had a change of date. It will now be held on the 9th October, 2011. Contact Lindsay Donai for further details on or 5502 7774.
  1. The Moto Giro is on again this month. Please contact Trevor Fryer for details on 0412 121 072 or . But be quick, it is on 26-28 August.
  1. Email to members regarding a new company “Trispark” – see website.
  1. Congratulations !! to all winners & runners up of the “Big Chill” Hopefully you have all received your certificates in the mail.
  1. Details of “The Black Dog Ride” to raise awareness of depression are on the website.
  1. The Brisbane Spring Motorcycle Show and Shine is on Sept 3rd. and details are on the website.
  1. REMINDERThose needing transport to Tassie for the Titles & Baskerville should contact Damien Kavney a.s.a.p. on either 0407 657329 or If your money is not paid by the Sept. 13th meeting, you will not be included & $500 return is a bargain.
  1. The appointment of a Club Property Officer has been approved. He is Gerard Purcell and is ideally located close to both our major tracks of Morgan Park and Stanthorpe. Gerard will be responsible for items such as officials vests, brooms, fire extinguishers, etc.
  1. Expressions of sadness were noted from many members over the loss of Ken “Woose’ Wooten. He will be sadly missed.
  1. It was noted that the club dinner at a Stanthorpe restaurant this year was very disappointing. A tentative booking has been made at the Stanthorpe RSL for next year on July 21st. From all reports and recommendations, it should be a good night.
  1. Although we were very happy with the response from volunteers as flaggies (notably from the Ducati Owners Club) we intend to send out invitations to all club members no longer racing to hopefully volunteer at future meetings.
