  3. Housekeeping. BPRO Brochure available for new and existing members. We have many new members!
  4. BPRO has a webpage, which has all information on workshops and trainings. It is a good resource.
  5. To be part of the List Server got to Spark, Divisions, SNAP, and List Server. Being a part of the List server means you will get SNAP policy, changes, and other updates first.
  6. Elections
  7. Ballots were sent in January and February and the election finished on March 17th, 2017. All officer positions for our PD are field. Effective July 2017 the President will be Adrienne Jackson, Vice-president will be Ruth Ann Lacy, Secretary will be Alicia Bravo, and Treasurer will be Mignon Jones.
  8. Fundraiser
  9. We have a fundraiser every year before conference. We have a new fundraiser going on and the drawing will be held at the SpringConference in Hampton and you do not have to be present to will. Tickets are $2.00 each or you can get three tickets for $5.00. The prize is a GoPro HD Hero Waterproof Action Camera Camcorder with 32GB Deluxe Accessories Bundle includes microSD Card + Floating Bobber + Selfie Stick + Stabilizer Holder + Car Windshield Suction Cup (CHDHA-301). These funds go to scholarships for conference and education scholarships offered by BPRO.

  11. Spring Conference May 10th, 2017 through May 12th, 2017.
  12. It will be the 25th anniversary and the board is planning to do something special for us. Registration remain open. Overflow hotel is on the same street.
  13. Summer Quarterly Meeting- planning group
  14. Next quarterly meeting will be around the end of June. In the past, we held a picnic at the park. This year is open to anyone who wants to plan it. Members can also team up to plan it. Any interested members email Adrienne Jackson.

  20. They are working on different levels of BPS, ex: BPS 1, BPS II, BPS II.
  21. Effective April 1st, 2017 The Call Center will start taking SNAP and TANF applications
  22. They will be able to mail renewal packets and IRs. Anything they do will be in My Workspace.
  23. Updated policies and procedures were sent. Please read them since we will have to vote on it at the conference.

  25. Arnetta Brackett from Fluvanna County Volunteered to be the Fluvanna’s contact for Adrienne Jackson.

  28. Paula King - Competing Demands
  29. The objectives: Identify Challenges to our ability to meet demands, review a method for deciding among multiple demands, and explore valuable strategies for handling a demanding workplace.
  30. Key things we can do to better prepare and effectively respond to situations when we face competing demands include clarifying the mission, effectively executing a plan, protecting our boundaries, and productively handling pressure.
