Introduction:
There is no requirement for you to complete a Course Approval Document (CAD) or Course Evaluation Document (CED) in the case of a course approval of lower risk activity.
This pro-forma provides a guide for Course Teams undertaking what the University has defined as course approval of lower risk activity via the School Student Learning and Experience Sub Committee (SSLESC) e.g. Pg. Cert, Additional Pathway(s) and UC awards, please refer to Section C, 4–4.2f, of the Quality Handbook for further information.
In order to complete some of the headings identified in the pro-forma you will be required to refer to the guidance set out in Quality Handbook, Section C, C-Annex 7, Guidance for Course Teams for the Approval of New and Periodic Review of Courses which contains the following:
§ Programme Specification Template.
§ Learning Resources Guidelines.
§ Notes for Course Teams on Compensatable Modules, In-module Retake (IMR), Exceptional Third Attempt (ETA) and Variance.
