Relevant experience and knowledge /
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of dealing with legal and governance issues in local government
  • A proven track record of providing proactive, expert and timely legal advice and support
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of delivering effective democratic services (committee and elections)
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of delivering effective regulatory services to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and regulation (licensing and environmental health )
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of delivering effective information governance to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and regulation (Freedom of Information, Data Protection, Regulation of Investigatory Powers; Local Government Ombudsman
  • A demonstrable track record of strong and effective people management
  • Understands and has previous experience of performance management processes in terms of service improvement and efficiencies
