The consequences of poor safety practices and lack of knowledge can result in accidents causing serious injury, increased absenteeism and sick days.
A business whatever their size can minimise the risks of accidents and incidents through Training, This course will give the first aider confidence and the knowledge to give effective on site emergency first aid care to someone who is suddenly sick or injured .

Course Objective

To teach the basic principles of First Aid, the latest protocol and practices for a first aider to be effective and confident , it also covers the Mandatory Regulations under Health & Safety Law for Businesses of all sizes.

This is a recognised Level 2 training course accredited by Qualsafe Awards, to help protect everyone in the workplace should an accident occur and raise awareness of the statutory requirements under Health & Safety Legislation.

Course Content

HASAWA 1974 - The First Aid Regulations - First Aid aims and priorities – Giving CPR Assessing an Accident - Managing an Unresponsive Casualty - Choking - Burns / Scalds Unconscious Casualties - Shock Wounds & Bleeding - - Recording procedures -

The First Aid box - Heart Attacks & Strokes .

Course Assessment

By a short written Multiple choice Question paper. On-going assessment and practical assessments during the course and Group work and practical sessions.

Course Manuals / Handouts

Hand-outs given to candidates and a Manual Handling Course Manual.

Course Certification

Candidates will receive an accredited LEVEL 2 Certificate in

Emergency First Aid at Work, which is valid for 3 Years , upon passing the tests.

Course Venue

At our Training Centre in Langport Somerset or

Suitable training area at customer premises with room for practical sessions.

All trainees should be reasonably physically fit, in good health and generally not have problems their back or high blood pressure. Please note that If you do suffer from anything like this you may still be able to participate in the course.
