Place a booking on a queue

You can place a Booking File on a queue when required for further action to be taken. If you are working a queue you can route the current Booking File to another queue if required. For example, to route a Booking File to queue 30 enter QEB/30

You can place a Booking File on any Booking File queue, category or date range for your office or branch office.

Categories

Non-programmatic queues may be divided into categories and date ranges to allow additional storage capacity. A category is a sub-division of a queue and may be defined for use by your agency supervisor.

Each category may be further divided into four date ranges to permit more filling space. Queues are activated by default so you will only need to activate them if they have been deactivated. They can also be deactivated when no longer needed.

List names in queue

You can display a Booking File on a queue, category or date range. The list includes name, record locator and date of travel. To qualify your list, you can specify up to 10 letters of the last name. You must be outside the queue in order to display the list.

Advice Codes

They are generated by the vendors and advise you of the status of the flight and usually require you to take some action.BF containing an advice code willautomatically fall on your appropriate queue.

Check Vendor Remarks in the Booking Fileto see if there is areason why the HX has been transmitted.If there is no advice from the airline on the HX status call them directly to establish if a booking is still confirmed orthe reason for the HX status change. If the booking is stillHK statusask the airline to add a vendor remark to confirm
