Q. How do I know what playing age my child is?

A. Go to Inside you will find an age calculator chart that will help you to understand what your child’s playing age is for 2015. The cut off date is December 31. Therefore if your child’s Birthday is on or before December 31, he/she qualifies for Division Play associated with that age. Example: If your Child was born on or before December 31, 2005; his/her playing age is 9 and will play in either AA or AAA.

Q. How are teams selected?

A. Each Division will have a “try out” where your child will perform basic baseball skills. Managers and Coaches will observe the try outs as a group. Try outs will be held in January on two consecutive Saturdays at Dos Esqueles Park. Times for Ages and Divisions tba. Your child must attend try outs or will be an at large selection during the draft. T-Ball players need not attend tryouts and will be assigned teams.

Q. How does the draft work?

A. After the tryouts are completed, the coaches from each division will hold a League Managed draft. Each team will choose players based on the try outs in random order. Each team may protect up to 2 players for the draft, which are usually the Managers child and 1 of the Coaches children that will be playing on that team. All other players are open to all of the teams in that Division to be selected. If your child does not attend try outs, they will still be selected in the draft, but normally are selected at the end because Managers and Coaches are not able to evaluate their skill level. 9 and 10 year old Playing age can try out for AAA and 7 and 8 year old Playing Age can try out for AA. However if they are not selected they will play in the lower division respectively e.g. AA or Rookies. Therefore AAA is held before AA and AA is held before Rookies.

Q. How do we find out what team my child is on?

A. After the draft is completed, the League will organize each team into rosters and the Manager of each team in each Division will be provided a roster. This will occur usually within 48 hours of the draft completion. The Manager from your team will contact you to notify you and to answer any questions you may have about the team, practice etc. In addition you will receive an e-mail notifying you of your team and your Manager. Schedules will be completed and issued to all Managers and Team Mom’s about 1 week prior to the beginning of the season. They will also be populated on our web site, under your specific team page. Your Manager or Team Mom will provide you with game days, locations and times, as well as being able to view them on the web site. You can also visit the League website for updated team schedules and game results, after they are released and after games are completed.

Q. If I have a problem during the season who do I contact?

If you are unable to resolve it through your Team manager, you can contact your Player Agent, who is listed on the league web site under the Board of Directors section.
