WELCOME TO FIRST GRADE

Hi! My name is Pam Lindberg and I will be your child’s teacher this year. I have been teaching for 35 years, I love working with young children. I have been teaching in St. Paul for 19 years; I look forward to be starting the year at The Heights Community School as your child‘s teacher! I enjoy teaching and continually learning new things.

I have been busy the last week getting the classroom ready. My husband has also helps me prepare for school, we have been feeding caterpillars this summer to bring in the classroom (teaching becomes a family event at our home). I enjoy bringing nature into the classroom for students to enjoy; it helps develop a calm relaxing environment where students are motivated and eager to learn. Please come and visit me during open house on Thursday, September 1. I am excited to meet you and your child and answer any questions you have for me, you may bring school supplies then or on the first day of school. All supplies will be community supplies and shared with classmates, there is no need to have your child’s name on supplies.

A little about me:

I have a husband and three children; Eric, my husband, Curt, who is married to Nicole, Jonas, who is a free spirited artist and Ryan, who works in computer science. I have a beautiful granddaughter who is 7 years old and is learning to speak in Spanish and a wonderful grandson who is 3 year old and full of energy. We have a cat named CC.

Some of the things I enjoy doing are reading, go to movies, spend time with my family, play with my grandchildren, hiking in the woods, fishing and going on picnics. I also like to cook, I like animals and I like all kinds of music. We do a lot of singing in first grade! My favorite color is pink and my favorite foods are pizza and ice cream. Help your child think of some things to share with their classmates about themselves and their family.
