Introduction: Have you ever had to go to a party and whip up something to bring at the last minute? If you are like me, most of you have probably been in that situation. Today, I am going to show you the basic steps to make a quick and simple taco dip that can be finished in minutes. Plus, it is sure to be a crowd-pleaser!

I. There are some supplies and ingredients you will need.

A. Flat platter

B. Bowl

C. Spoon/ spatula

D. Sour cream

E. Cream cheese

F. Taco Seasoning packet

G. Lettuce

H. Cheese

I. Tomato

J. Green onions

K. Bell Peppers

L. Olives

M. Tortilla chips

II. First, you will need to make the base for the dip.

A. Soften 8oz. cream cheese

1. Microwave

2. Let set out for a few hours

B. Mix cream cheese with 8oz. sour cream

C. Add 1 package dry taco seasoning

1. Option: Use hot and spicy

2. Option: Use a packet of ranch dry seasoning

3. Option: For stronger dip, use 2

D. Blend together until smooth

E. Spread mixture evenly over platter

III. Next, you will need to add the toppings to the base of the dip.

A. Sprinkle shredded lettuce over top

B. Add shredded cheese

1. Any variety of cheese will work

2. Either buy pre-shredded or shred the block yourself

C. Chop tomatoes and bell peppers, and add over top of cheese

D. Cut onions over the top

E. Top with sliced olives

IV. Once the dip is finished, there are many different serving options.

A. Tortilla chips

1. Scoops

2. Multigrain

B. Crackers

1. Wheat Thins

2. Triscuits

C. Raw Vegetables

1. Carrot Sticks

2. Celery Sticks

3. Bell pepper strips

D. Make the dip your own

1. Experiment with new toppings and topping combinations

2. Make it low-calories (fat-free cheese and sour cream)
