Purebred Basset Hound Puppy Sales Contract:

Between Mary J. Greenwood/GoldenAsset Kennels (the 'Breeder') of GoldenAsset Kennels

Whereby it is agreed as follows:

That the Breeder agrees to sell and the Purchaser(s) will buy the Puppy detailed below at the price of

The Breeders Warrants:

1. The Breeder warrants for 72 hours, this canine to be free of communicable diseases (parvo etc.) at the time the puppy is picked up to go to its new home, and out of my care. The Breeder is not responsible for any type of parasite problemsfrom time of pick up onwards.

This puppy will be replaced if returned to the seller with a veterinarian's written statement of this canine’s ill health within this time period.Any other reason for return is at the breeder's discretion.

2. The breeder warrants for the first 12 months from date of birth.

If the dog has to be euthanized for any inherited genetic problems (excluding hip/elbow dysplasia) A puppy of the same sex and quality, selected by the breeder, will be guaranteed to the buyer from another litter, though not necessarily from the same bitch and or sire nor from the next litter due to arrive. If the Purchaser decides that they would like a puppy but it is not the right time for them. They will be place on a waiting list for 12 months from the time of euthanizing the pup listed above.After the 12 months If no puppy has been replaced, the purchaser agreed to pay any price difference between the puppy listed above and the new puppy. The breeder reserves the right to refund the purchaser his/her original price (Price before taxes) minus the amount of the non-refundable deposit of the puppy should the breeder decide not to place another puppy with the purchaser.

***I cannot warrant Hips and Elbows as of the conformation of the Basset Hound Breed. ***

Alternatively, If the buyer decides on an operation in lieu of euthanasia. The breeder shall, at the option of the breeder, and upon proof of spay/neuter, reimburse the purchaser an amount determined by the breeder in line with the condition and its effects on the dog's life. In any case, this amount shall not exceed, in total and in combination for all conditions, a lifetime maximum of one half the purchase price (Price before taxes) of the puppy.

The breeder may request that the purchaser obtain further opinions in the case. Obtaining additional opinions will be the responsibility of the purchaser. The breeder may request to have any reports or x-rays mailed, emailed or shipped to the breeder's veterinarian. Under no circumstances will the breeder be responsible for the cost of any veterinarian bills for any reason whatsoever, nor will the breeder be responsible for the cost of surgery for any reason whatsoever.

All veterinary costs after departure from our kennel, no matter what the reason, is the responsibility of the buyer.

I as a breeder have given this puppy the best possible planning and care to live a long healthy life. The puppy is now leaving my care and now handed over to you. It is now up to you to do the same.

***. Pro Planor an equivalent food must be fed for the term of this guarantee or the guarantee will become null and avoid.***

The Purchaser(s) agrees:

1. That the Purchaser(s) agrees to and understand(s) the following conditions:

- This said dog is sold as companion ONLY. This said dog is NOT to be used for breeding. Should this canine be bred without permission, the seller has the option of being compensated in the amount of $15,000.00 (dollars) damages each and every time this dog gets bred without the proper permission from the breeder.

- The puppy shall not be sold, leased or given to any pet shop or research establishment. .

- The puppy shall not be sold, given or donated to any person without the Breeder's prior knowledge and consent.

- In the event of the Purchaser(s) being unable to maintain the puppy/dog for any reason, the Breeder shall be informed and shall reserve the right to take back the puppy/dog at any age without any financial restitution to the Purchaser.If the dog requires medical attention or other care requiring expenses other than the basics, food etc, while in the care of the Breeder the Purchaser will be responsible for those expenses and will reimburse the Breeder. The purchaser also must tell the Breeder about any medical conditions that will affect the dogs condition now and in the future. CKC Registration papers must be signed and given to the Breeder at the time of the return of the puppy/dog. Also all medical records must be handed to the Breeder at the time the dog is returned. Any expenses due to the returning of the said puppy/dog will be the responsibility of the Purchaser.

- If this puppy has been purchased as a Pet and must be castrated/spayed at 6-8 months of age for a female pup and 10-12 months for a male pup. If the pup is castrated/spayed before the age of 6 months. This will void all guarantees or warrantees under the Breeder warrantee section.

2. The Purchaser(s) further warrants that the puppy:

- The Purchaser has provided you with 6 weeks of complimentary accident and illness protection from Petsecure. Coverage from this insurance will take effect 48 hours from date of purchase. Pet insurance must be continued for the time of this warrantee. The Purchaser does not have to continue using Petsecure as the insurance company but pet insurance must be put on this puppy to cover the basic coverage. This is to include but not limited too Accident and Illness coverage.

- Will be kept as a Pet in appropriate conditions for its health and welfare. The puppy will be fed Pro Plan or an equivalent dog food for the term of this contract. Any food changes will be discussed with the Breeder.

- Will receive regular booster vaccinations from a veterinary for the life of the dog.

- Will receive all necessary veterinary care to maintain its good health.

3. If the puppy is neglected, maltreated, or is failing to receive adequate medical care, the Purchaser will surrender said puppy to the Breeder unconditionally and without financial restitution or compensation. (See section 1 under Purchaser Agrees) Any expenses occurred to return the puppy/dog is at the Purchasers expense.

4. The Purchaser(s) further understand(s) that if the Purchaser fails to keep any part of this contract, the contract will become null and void.

The Canadian Kennel Club limited registration papers will be mailed as soon as possible.

The Breeders liability is limited to a maximum amount of the purchase price of the dog. (Purchase price is amount before taxes) minus the non-refundable deposit. The purchaser acknowledges that there are no warranties or guarantees other than as set out in writing herein.

Cancelled cheques will be settled in court, all expenses paid by the buyer. Said canine will be returned to the Breeder until satisfactory payment is received and Breeder is also satisfied with the welfare of the puppy/dog.
