Puppy Purchase Agreement & Health Guarantee

Our Goal is to make yournew puppy purchase very exciting and a positive experience for all family members. Our puppies are very important to us and we want to make certain that they have the best possible homes to go to when they leave us. The puppy will be part of your family for a great number of years, and we want to ensure that they have happy healthy lives.

This contract is entered into onbetweenknown as buyer and RanchHand Corgis known as seller.

This contract is for the purchase ofPembroke Welsh Corgi puppy.

Age of the puppy isat the time of sale.

The agreed purchase price of the above listed puppy is:

Buyer agrees and understands he/she is solely responsible for this Corgi and hold harmless Seller from any and all claims of liability resulting from the conduct of this Corgi on or after the date of this contract.

This puppy is, to the best of the Seller’s knowledge of sound body, good health and free of any communicable disease at the time of sale/placement. The puppy is up to date on all vaccinations and has been de-wormed at the time of sale. Buyer has five working days from the date of this contract to take the puppy to the licensed veterinarian of their choice. If the veterinarian finds serious illness within the first five days of ownership, this puppy can be returned to the Seller for an exchanged of another puppy of equal value at the discretion of the Seller. As long as the puppy is returned within the guarantee period and is accompanied by a letter from the examining veterinarian stating in what respect the puppy is unsound. Buyer must furnish a veterinary report and x-rays where applicable when requesting a replacement. There is no guarantee against retained testicles or umbilical hernias. No warranty or guarantee is made to the disposition, life-span, size, color, show quality, breeding quality, or breed ability of any puppy.

The seller does not guarantee the puppy against any accidents, acts of God, abuse, or neglect by the buyer. Buyer agrees to provide routine veterinary care, proper food, water, shelter and adequatecompanionship. The buyer agrees to follow the recommendations of the seller on nutrition and exerciseand the buyer further agrees not to over-feed or over-exercise the above listed puppy. The buyer agrees to hold harmless the seller in the event the puppy dies from natural causes, acts of God, neglect, or abuse. The seller will not be responsible for any type of medical treatment for the above listed puppy at any time after the date of this contract.

In addition to the general health guarantee described above, seller provides a one-year guarantee from the date of birth against certain congenital defects. Should a licensed veterinarian diagnose the puppy with a life threatening genetic defect, having been there from birth, the Breeder will replace the puppy, at breeder’s discretion. All items covered under this guarantee are by replacement only. We do not give refunds. A puppy with a defect must be returned or euthanized with the prior permission of the seller to qualify for a replacement puppy.

There are certain disorders that may be caused by environmental factors, for example: allergies, thyroid dysfunction, demodectic mange, and other autoimmune disorders that are not covered by this guarantee.

You should consult your veterinarian to determine when your puppy should have subsequent vaccinations and wormings. Buyer understands that the puppy will require additional puppy worming and vaccinations after the sale. Buyer agrees to keep the dog current with all worming/heartworm prevention and vaccinations throughout the dog’s life and to provide proper veterinary care.

Along with the puppy’s records, you have been provided several days’ supply of food that the puppies are currently eating. Continue to feed the Purina puppy chow for a few days, until he & she has settled into their new environment. If you plan to change his & her food, mix 1/2 of the food provided with 1/2 of the new food for 2-3 days, and then change to the new food completely. If you change his & her food rapidly (without an adjustment period), the puppies are likely to develop diarrhea.

The guarantee applies to the original puppy owner only and is nontransferable to a second party.

Buyer also agrees that this puppy will not be used for or sold to any pet shop, wholesale or retail outlet, dog agent or dog dealer, or dog fighting entities.

Buyer agrees to first provide Seller with the option to purchase this puppy back at an agreed upon price before offering this puppy to any other entity or having the puppy put down.

Violation of this contract damages the goodwill and reputation of Seller and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi breed in general.

By signing this contract, the buyer understands and agrees to and will abide by all terms listed above.

This contract is formed with the sole intent of protecting this Corgi and for the good of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi breed; where possible all interpretations should be made with this in mind.
