Speyfest 2014 Workshops: As part of this year’s Speyfest, there will be a traditional music workshop and a singing workshop on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th July. Musicians of all abilities are welcome for what will be a fantastic opportunity to work with some great musicians. If you would like more information please see Miss Macphail in Y02.

Charity Gig @ The Loft, Kinloss – 27 June: ElginAcademy band Chasing Tasko will be playing at a Charity Gig to raise money and awareness for Leukaemia & Lymphoma. Also playing will be Lillian Macdonald (former ElginAcademy), Steward McLeod (Lossiemouth) and The Scenix (Elgin High) who will be headlining the event. Tickets are available from Sound & Vision Elgin or from the band members (Khaya Tsotsi. Fergus Mclean, Calum Gaffney and Ross Cumming) up in the S6 Social Area at break and lunch times. Doors open at 7pm. Adults £8. Student/Concession £6

S6 Youth Philanthropist Initiative YPI: Can all S6 please report to the hall today after they hall registered with their period 2 teachers. You have a talk on the YPI Initiative. (ID)

S4-6 Lomond Challenge: David Legge, Chloe Ogg, Ellie Inch and Kieran Longmuir must come to the PE department at lunchtime today to see Miss Ingram. If any other pupil wishes to enter the Lomond Challenge (teams of 2 must canoe 1.7 miles, cycle 1.7 miles and run 3.4 miles. The challenge takes palace on Saturday 30 August).

S5/6 Buckie High School Theatre Trip – Reminder: Can all pupils attending the BHS Theatre Trip on Friday 27June please board the bus at the bus drop off point at 1pmon Friday please? Please ensure you have handed in your consent form before Period 1 on Friday – no slip, no trip. Money can be collected next week. (AO-L)

S6 Rome Trip: Can all S6 pupils coming on the Rome trip please pay your deposit to Miss Macphail in Y02 by Friday at 3.20pm. If you don’t, you will lose your space! (AM)

S5/6: A reminder to any pupil who has requested their Expressive & Design folios back from the SQA (Nat 5, Int 1, Int 2, Higher) to please pay their money before the end of term.

Chemistry Department Book Return: Could all Chemistry students from last years’ S4 please return all data books, revision guides, calculations booklets and literacy / numeracy booklets as a matter of absolute urgency please??It is now 6 weeks since the National 5 exam and we are stll awaiting return of materials issued. This situation is unacceptable. All resources MUST BE RETURNED as a matter of urgency to Mrs Reid / Mr Gray / Mr Baker as soon as possible or you will be charged for the outstanding cost of materials. Thanks (MB)

EMA Application Forms: Forms are now available in school. If you will be 16 years old before 30 Sep 2014 and think you may be entitled to claim for an EMA please collect an application form from the office.

Pupils who were entitled in 2013-14 MUST re-apply for Aug 2014. Your payments will not be carried over into the new session. (EHL)
