Pugs & Frenchies of Pedroia

Contract & Health Guarantee

Date: ______

Your puppy is guaranteed to be healthy at the time of purchase. For this guarantee to be valid you must have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian of your choice within three (3) days of the date of purchase. During the initial exam, should your veterinarian find a medical problem you must contact me at time of vet check. If a medical condition exists not common to the breed and is said to be a life threatening condition a replacement puppy will be given upon returning the puppy within 72 hours. If the puppy is out of state, the puppy must be returned within 7 days. The puppy must be returned in good condition, other then the specified problem, at the owner’s expense to qualify for a replacement puppy. Buyer is responsible for all shipping expenses. A puppy must be returned with the AKC papers and a statement from the veterinarian certifying the diagnosis including the date. Breeder has 1 year to provide replacement puppy. If a problem exists and the buyer does not return the puppy he/she will be responsible for all vet bills incurred. I will not be responsible for any of the veterinary fees charged for the initial examination or for any other veterinary services rendered on that first visit.

A replacement puppy must be agreed upon from both parties. It will be replaced by a puppy of the same value, in which the color plays a factor. The shipping of the original puppy upon return is the expense of the buyer.

Your puppy’s shots and wormings are current. It is up to the buyer to keep his/her puppy on appropriate vaccine schedule. Your puppy will have had its first distemper, parvo virus vaccination at 6 weeks. The vaccine series needs to be repeated again at 9 weeks, 12 weeks and 16 weeks. It is your responsibility to make sure the puppy is vaccinated at those ages. If your puppy is exposed to parvo and/or distemper before the full vaccines series is completed, he/she can be susceptible to these viruses. We will not be responsible for parvo, distemper or kennel cough that can be caught from other animals or environments after the puppy leaves our home unless it is discovered during the 72 hour vet check. We will not be responsible for Coccidia/Giardia. Many puppies are prone to the outbreak of either Coccidia and/or Giardia during stressful situations, such a shipping, change of diet, new home, etc. The symptoms can arise in a 12 hour period and not always be prevented by the seller because there are no signs until the puppy is stressed. All precautions have been made but the buyer should take the puppy to the vet immediately if puppy develops unusual stool, begins vomiting or has loss of appetite. Having a new puppy is like having an infant. It needs to be protected against any germs, diseases, etc. especially until all vaccines have been received and your puppy is completely protected. Please do not take your puppy to any public areas until it is completely protected – no dog parks, no walks, no pet stores, etc. Please remember that your front lawn is also considered a public area as you are unable to control any stray animals, which may have passed through.

Any physical problem, which is or could be the result of an injury, is not covered under this guarantee.

Any health problem that is diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian with any of the above problems, we must be notified within 72 hours of the diagnosis or contract is void.

If sudden death should occur an autopsy, paid for by buyer, must be performed and report verified by my veterinarian to determine the cause of death. If death occurred from a congenital problem, a replacement puppy will be given. Breeder has 1 year to replace puppy. If the seller does not have a puppy of same value within a year the buyer has option to extend the time frame or ask for a refund for the sale price of the buyer.

We the seller are not responsible for any vet bills.

Buyer also agrees and understands that size and color is only an estimated idea depending on previous repeat litter or size of parents. There is no guarantee as to how big or small they will be at adult full-grown age. Seller does not guarantee the fertility of a male or female puppy and does not guarantee breeding success or show success.

This contract is non-transferable and void if a puppy changes ownership from buyer stated above. Failure of the Buyer to comply with any condition of the Agreement will relieve the Seller of any obligation to the Buyer.

I have read this contact, understand fully, and will abide completely in order to keep this guarantee in full effect.
