Important notice from Freman College

Absolutely no muddy shoes inside School. There is a changing room near run start. Please use this or your car to change shoes. Both, parents and competitors, to have a change of shoes to walk (parents) and competitors to run in.

Anyone bringing mud into the school may be eliminated NO DOGS

PARKING

There is parking at FremanCollege. Please do not park in Freman Pool Car Park as the public swim needs it. DO NOT obstruct entrance between Pool and School. Enter Freman College through main doors. Secretary will be opposite. There is a large dining area to right which competitors etc may use for the day.

SHOOT

Details and times have been sent to you for shooting. Pick your targets up from Secretary. Run numbers also included. Numbers only worn for run. They will have to be pinned on.

GUNS WILL BE CHECKED AND FOOTWEAR. (No boots over ankles). Make sure you allow time for this to happen. Please arrive to allow at least 15 minutes or more before you shoot.

SHOT TARGETS WILL BE AVAILABLE NEAR SECRETARY. Must be checked and signed for before taking away. NO QUERIES CAN BE UPHELD ONCE REMOVED. Any targets not removed after 1 hour from completion of shooting will be taken as approved and scored up.

SAFETY: Will all team trainers please note the following points:

1. Any competitor whose shooting is considered to be unsafe by our marshals in the shooting gallery will be asked to stop and will not be allowed to continue shooting. If any team trainer feels that one of their competitors may be considered unsafe they should withdraw the competitor from the shooting phase to avoid this happening.

2. If any under age person is seen carrying a gun or gas cylinder, or in possession of either of these, without an adult, the item will be removed and will only be returned to the team trainer responsible for its owner.

3. Once a competitor has shot and their gun is not being used by anyone else, the gun should be placed in the locked boot of a car.

4. It has been brought to our attention that gas cylinders used to charge certain types of gun can be very dangerous if dropped. Please therefore use extreme caution in handling them.

THE ABOVE POINTS WILL BE STRICTLY ADHERED TO AND TEAM TRAINERS SHOULD STRESS THIS TO ALL THEIR COMPETITORS.

Bean Bag Throw - This will take place in the School Hall. Please make sure all competitors are ready promptly.

Running - Will start promptly at 11.00 am, running at one minute intervals in number order. Please be near the start at least 10 minutes before your running time. The field is quite wet so have suitable running shoes.

Please make sure that all competitors walk the course properly, as WE WILL BE ELIMINATING FROM THIS PHASE FOR ERROR OF COURSE.

Please note that in accordance with rule N.26 inhalers should not be used whilst running and competitors who become so short of breath during their run that they need an inhaler will be stopped.

Swimming–Please be ready to swim 10 minutes before your warm up time.

THERE ARE TO BE NO OUTDOOR SHOES IN SWIM CHANGING ROOMS. ALL SHOES TO BE REMOVED AT OUTSIDE DOOR AND LEFT BY THE OUTSIDE DOOR. PLEASE STRESS THE IMPORTANCE OF THIS TO ALL COMPETITORS AND SPECTATORS.

CAN COMPETITORS PLEASE WASH OFF MUD BEFORE SWIMMING

AGAIN, YOU HAVE BEEN SENT TIMES FOR YOUR WARM UP AND SWIM. PLEASE ENSURE COMPETITORS ARE READY PROMPTLY.

SWIMMING TEAM TRAINERS PLEASE CHECK THE BOARD AND NOTIFY THE ORGANISER OF ANY QUERIES IMMEDIATELY.

ONLY TEAM MANAGERS ARE PERMITTED, OR ONE PARENT AT THE END ON A LANE. PLEASE VACATE POOL AS SOON AS YOUR CHILD HAS FINISHED TO STOP OVERCROWDING. PLEASE NOTE THAT IN ACCORDANCE WITH RULE N.48 INHALERS SHOULD NOT BE USED WHILST SWIMMING AND COMPETITORS WHO BECOME SO SHORT OF BREATH DURING THEIR SWIM THAT THEY NEED AN INHALER WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE.

Any queries must be made by the team manager to the Secretary. Do NOT approach the scorers.

Photographic Rights – Competitors and their guardians give permission for any photographic and/or film or TV footage taken of persons taking part in Pony Club events to be used and published in any media whatsoever for editorial purposes, press information or advertising by or on behalf of The Pony Club and/or official sponsors of The Pony Club

Rules for Winter Triathlon Competition 2018

The first two from each class will qualify.

Should the qualifiers at that competition be from out of the Area the highest placed competitors from that Area (Area 8 in this case) may also qualify to ensure that all Areas have two representatives from each class competing to qualify for the Winter Triathlon Final.

It is the responsibility of the competitors to ensure that they inform the organiser before the start of a competition if they have already qualified previously, so if they win, the qualifying place will be given to the next highest placed competitor.

Minimus aged 8 on day of competition -11 on 1st Jan 2018

Junior aged 12 - 14 on 1st Jan 2018

Open Under 25 on 1st Jan 2018

Minimus will shoot two handed at mechanically exposed targets from 7 metres.

Open girls will swim 3 minutes run 1500 metres.

Open boys will swim 4 minutes run 2000 metres.

Please note open boys run is the same as in the final not as Schedule

All other rules for each phase will be as stated in the rule book.

Refreshments - Catering will be availablein Freman College.

Prize Giving- This will be held in the Hall at approx 4.00 pm.
