The Information and Media Panel of Inquiry [IMPI]
This panel was set up by the Minister of Media, Information and Broadcasting Services, Jonathan Moyo, on 20th December 2013 following his familiarisation tours of media houses round the country. Its task is to inquire into and assess the operations of Zimbabwe’s Information and Media Industry. The 25-member panel is chaired by veteran journalist Geoff Nyarota and its members include senior journalists and members of other professions.
IMPI’s Outreach Programme
IMPI has announced an outreach programme involving public meetings, interviews, and general discussions with media and information stakeholders as well as members of the public. The programme includes a tour of all provinces of Zimbabwe starting tomorrow Monday 14th April.
All those wishing to attend the meetings scheduled for next week are welcome at the venues listed above. They are intended to provide an opportunity for all interested persons to be involved and help to shape Zimbabwe’s information and media industry of the future.
