In order to continue to receive public library grant funding, this report must be completed on behalf of your Council’s library service and forwarded to the State Library. The Public Library Outcomes Report 2010-2011is a report of Council’s obligations under the Service Level Agreement. Please indicate your compliance with each of these obligations and add explanatory comments where appropriate.

Please refer to the Service Level Agreement for Public Library Service Provision to assist in completing this form. A copy of the Service Level Agreement is available at:

COUNCIL OBLIGATION
  1. Provision of a free public library service.
The following services should be provided free-of-charge to all residents:
  • entrance to the library
  • assistance to use the library
  • lending, reference and information services
  • access to library and information services over the internet
  • services and programs that promote social inclusiveness and diversity
  • reciprocal borrowing across Queensland i.e. an arrangement that allows Queensland residents to borrow materials free of charge from any Queensland public library and that allows for free lending between library services.
