Suicide: One Sumit Chakravarti 33 years, R/oDDA Flat Kalkaji committed suicide by hanging from ceiling fan with a sari yesterday . According to local police he was marketing Masnager in Croy Bank Pvt. Ltd, Gurgaon and living with his parents. No suicide note has been found. The matter is under investigation.

Fatal accident : One Subodh Singh 40 years R/o Vasundhara Enclave Parvatia Vihar New Ashok Nagar Delhi originally form Bhojpur Biharw was killed in an accident. According to local police, while the deceased was going on M/Cycle , a blue line bus No. DL-I PB 3927 plying on rout No. 425A from ISBT Kashmeri Gate to Khanpur, hit him from behind on Ravidas Marg, Kalkaji. He died on the spot. He was working in Gobind Ballabh Pant Poly Technique, Noida. Bus driver Ramesh Chand 52 years R/o Nand Nagri has been arrested. Investigation is in progress.

1. A male age around 30 years, height 5’4”, wheatish complexion, oval face, medium built, wearing Pink pant, white & pink checkdar shirt, found on 15-12-2008.

2. A male age around 50 years, height 5’6”,wheatish complexion, medium built, wearing light blue shirt and grey pant, found on 18-12-2008.

3. A male age around 18’20 years, height’ 5’1”, wheatish complexion, oval face, thin built, wearing blue zeens ;

and badami T.shirt, found on 20-12-2008.

Sarai Rohila Railway Police have sought public help in identifying the body of a male age around 20/25 years, height 5’5”, wheatish complexion, medium built, wearing light green shirt, blue jacket and black pant, found on 20-12-2008.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY

A procession organized by Arya Kendriya Sabha will be carried out on 25-12-2008 in the area of old Delhi starting from Shardhanand Balidan Bhawan, Naya Bazar at 10:00 a.m. and culminating at Parade Ground opposite Red Fort at about 1:00 p.m. . The procession will take the following route-

Naya Bazar, Khari Baoli, Naya Bans, Lal Kuan, Hauz Quazi, Chawari Bazar, Nai Sarak, Chandani Chowk, Town Hall Gurudwara Sheesh Ganj, Dariba Kalan and Ram Chander Dehlvi Marg.

There is likelihood of slowing down of traffic along the route of the procession. General public and the motorists are advised to avoid the above mentioned routes and follow the directions of the traffic police men posted all along the route of procession to avoid inconvenience and hardship.

PUBLIC AID HELPS IN NABBING CRIMINAL IN SENSATIONAL MURDER-CUM-ROBBERY CASE

With the arrest of accused Vinod Kumar, aged 33 years s/o Shri Vishambhar Sahai R/o E-116, Gali No.10, Ambedkar Vihar, Johripur, Delhi. North East District police has solved the mystery of a blind and sensational ROBBERY-CUM-MURDER case which was registered in PS Gokalpuri vide FIR No. 405/08 u/s 394/302/511/34 IPC in which one Chutkau @ Nanku S/o Ram Pher R/o Gadriyan Purwa, Mohalla Sonwar, Karnailganj, Gonda, UP, lost his life.

A bag containing 3800/- rupees along with other belongings of the deceased were recovered from the spot.

TEAM AND THE INCIDENT

On 22-12-2008 at about 12.15 AM while Shri Vinay Kumar S/o Shri Kanshi Ram, aged 33 years R/o D-560/1215, Gali No.4, Ashok Nagar Delhi was passing through Wazirabad main road near Ganda Nala Gokalpuri flyover, he noticed that 3-4 boys were attacking on the person of a man and attempting to snatch a bag carried by him. On this, he without any fear and with great presence of mind, immediately intervened to save him from the clutches of the desperadoes. On his call, the criminals started running towards ganda nala but he overpowered one of them who was later on identified as Vinod Kumar, aged 33 years S/o Shri Vishambhar Sahai residents of H.No. E-116, Gali No.10, Ambedkar Vihar, Johripur, Delhi. He also informed PCR regarding incident on which a team consisting of ASI Hari Ram, ASI Khajan Singh, Ct. Virender & Ct. Satya Narayan led by Insp. Vireshwar Malik, SHO/Gokalpuri, immediately responded and reached at the spot where PCR Van was also found present. However, the deceased was identified as Chutkau @ Nanku S/o Ram Pher R/o Gadriyan Purwa, Mohalla Sonwar, Karnailganj, Gonda, UP soon before he had lost his sense. Accused Vinod Kumar was apprehended at the spot with the courage, velour and presence of mind shown by of Sh. Vinay Kumar who has set an example of public help under odd circumstances as a result of which other accused persons involved in this gruesome act have also been identified.

INTERROGATION AND PROFILE OF CRIMINAL.

Vinod was subjected to thorough interrogation and he disclosed that previously, he was working as Photographer but he could not earn sufficient money to meet the expenditure of his big family of 13 members. Then he started to run a general merchant shop but in vain to meet his over-expenditure of drug and came into the Society of bad elements. On that day, he along with his associates, was passing through the place of occurrence and noticed the deceased carrying a bag. He instantly thought of a plan to rob him and attacked on the person of the deceased, Chutkau @ Nanku above who resisted their attempt in looting his belongings. Before they succeeded in their attempt, the complainant noticed them and intervened into the matter. The accused was apprehended at the spot and rest of his associates managed to flee. Investigation of the case is in progress and efforts are being made to arrest the remaining accused persons.

PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED PERSON.

Vinod Kumar, aged 33 years S/o Sh. Vishambhar Sahai R/o E-116, Gali No.10, Ambedkar Vihar, Johripur, Delhi. His father is retired from DTC and at present he was running a general merchant shop. He is married and having four children. Therefore, earned money is not sufficient to meet the expenses of his family and his over expenditure of drug as he is in the habit of taking drug.

Two Attempt to murder case and one robbery case worked out. One arrested

With the arrest of Ali Hasan aged 20 years r/o H.No 1130 gali no 37 Jafrabad Delhi, North East Distt police has worked out two attempt to ery case and one case of robbery.

Incident No 1

On 17/12/08 Complainant Shahrukh s/o Mobin Khan r/o C-207 Gali no Chauhan Banger Delhi reported that he along with his friend was dancing on DJ in Akhare wali gali Maujpur Delhi. Meanwhile Jaigam and his associates came to him and collided with his friend Mohsin. When Mohsin resisted it, two associates of Jaigam caught hold him and Jaigam stabbed knife to Mohsin on his chest, right elbow and on hand and ran away from the spot. On this a case vide FIR No 514/08 u/s 307/34 IPC was registered at P.S Seelampur Delhi and taken up for investigation.

Incident No 2

On 18/12/08 complainant Mohd Imran s/o Haji Haneef r/o J-17/5 Gali no 6 Chauhan Banger Delhi reported that he was coming to his home. At about 10.20 p,m, Ali Hasan above, Jaigam, Zeeshan restraint him and asked why he was passing information to police about them. Thereafter Zeeshan and Ali Hasan caught hold him an Jaigam stabbed knife to him on his chest, back and head and ran away from the spot. On this, a case vide FIR No 517/08 dated 18/12/08 u/s 307/34 IPC was registered at P.S Seelampur and was taken up for investigation.

Team

A team consisting of Inspr. Ved Singh Malik SHO/ Seelampur,SI Fateh Singh , SI Lokender Singh, ASI Satyapal Singh , HC Virender Singh and Ct Prakash was constituted under the close supervision of Sh. Data Ram ACP/ Seelampur Delhi.

Investigation.

Continuous raid were conducted at the house of Ali Hasan above. As a result of which on 24.12.08 accused Ali Hasan above surrendered before the Hon'ble court and he was arrested from there. He was arrested in both the cases. He disclosed that he along with his associates Jaigam and Jeeshan indulged in crime like robbery and they were suspecting that Mohd Imran was passing information to police about their criminal activities. They wanted to teach a lesson to Mohd Imran and as a result of which they assaulted on Mohd Imran. On sustained interrogation, he along with his associates disclosed about their involvement in a case of robbery of P.S New Usman Pur Delhi in

which they had looted Mobile phone, cash Rs 5630/- from the complainant at the point of knife. His associates Jeeshan and Jaigam are still absconding. Case is pending investigation.

Accused Ali Hasan is illiterate and unmarried. He is having five brothers and six sisters. He belongs to a poor family. He is running a shop of quilts in Jafrabad Delhi.

NOTORIOUS CONTRACT KILLERS OF WESTERN UTTAR PRADESH ARRESTED TWO COUNTRY MADE PISTOLS ALONGWITH LIVE CARTRIDGES RECOVERED

The South District police has arrested two accused namely Sajid @ Shakeel, aged 26 years s/o Rahees r/o Mohalla Punjabian, Khurja, Distt. Bulandshahar UP and Amit @ Kalu Jogi, aged 25 years s/o Mahender Goswami r/o Mohalla Ahir Pada, Khurja, Distt. Buland Shahar, UP, recovered two country made pistols, four live cartridges and two empty cases of bullets fired on police party and one Pulsar motorcycle used by the accused in committing crime.

INCIDENT :

In view of the incidents of armed Bank robberies being committed by the criminals in and around Delhi, a special team headed by Inspr. Vijay Singh, I/C Special Staff/South District, comprising of SI Jeet Singh, ASIs Ashok Kumar, Gyanander & Mahender HCs. Bir Singh, Shiv Kumar, Vijay, Phool Singh Cts. Ashok Kumar, Subhash and Rajbir while patrolling in the area of PS Saket in plain clothes, received a secret information that two contract killers involved in several cases of Murder, Dacoities and other heinous cases shall be coming to Vasant Kunj from Badarpur side on a black colour Pulsar motorcycle for committing more crime. They shall be in possession of illicit fire arms and are desperate enough to fire on police party. The information was conveyed to Sh. K.S. Bhatnagar, ACP/Operations/South District who constituted a team headed by Inspr. Vijay Singh, I/C Special Staff/South District assisted by the staff present on the spot in two groups, directed one group to check the suspicious two wheeler riders by installing barricades near Dhaulapir at M.B. road and other to cover them with fire arms.

At about 1.40 PM, two suspicious looking youths riding black colour motorcycle bearing Regn. No. DL-3SAX-3787 approaching the barricades on M. B. Road were directed to stop for checking after signal from the secret informer. The motorcycle riding youths defied the signal to stop, increased the speed of the motorcycle and tried to negotiate the barricades. On being intercepted, they left the motorcycle and started running away by aiming and firing on police party. However, they were challenged by the police party and apprehended. The accused were identified as Sajid @ Shakeel, s/o Rahees r/o Mohalla Punjabian, Khurja, Distt. Bulandshahar UP and Amit @ Kalu Jogi, s/o Mahender Goswami r/o Mohalla Ahir Pada, Khurja, Distt. Buland Shahar, UP. One country made pistol each along with two live cartridges were recovered from the possession of both the accused and a case vide FIR No. 138/08 U/s. 186/353/307/34 IPC was registered at PS Saket. Two empty cases of the rounds fired by the accused aiming on the police party were also recovered from the spot.

On sustained interrogation, the accused disclosed that they are contract killers and on 20.12.08 alongwith one Amzad r/o Baghpat UP, they killed one Shahid S/o Jahir R/o Purana Kasba, Baghpat (class IV employee in Tehsil Khekra) at Baghpat UP for a sum of Rs. 1.5 lacs out of which Rs.40000/- were received as advanced money from one Hazi and Totla of Baghpat. Their involvement in murder of one Sagir Pahelwan in the area of PS Kalkaji on 05.11.08 is being verified. Checking the records from UP police the accused were found to be involved a number of criminal cases including murder, attempt to murder, robberies, Gangster Act etc. in Western UP.

Further involvements of the accused are being verified and the staff involved in the good work is being suitably rewarded.

DESPERATE HOUSE ROBBERS ARRESTED : SANSATIONAL HOUSE ROBBERies WITH SENIOR CITIZENs IN G.K. AND ASHOK VIHAR WORKED OUT.

The South District police has arrested two accused namely Sanjay @ Nihal Hassan, aged 30 years s/o Noor Hassan r/o Village Sheikhu Tola PS Roshantola, Distt. Munger, Bihar and Subhash @ Ghori Singh, aged 29 years s/o Ram Singh r/o Village Chandela PS Phodi Doomar, Distt. Banka, Bihar recovered one loaded country made pistol and one button actuated knife and worked out the sensational house robbery committed by them in Greater Kailash and Ashok Vihar area.

INCIDENT

On 23.12.2008, around 7.00 PM, SI Gagan Bhaskar alongwith SI Praveen Kumar, HCs. Ombir, Pradeep, Devender and Ct. Ravi Kaushik while patrolling in the area of Saket, found two youths in suspicious condition who suddenly tried to slip away after seeing the police party. The team members noticed their suspicious movement and overpowered them after a brief chase. The suspicious youths were identified as Sanjay @ Nihal Hassan s/o NoorHassanr/oVillage Sheikhu Tola PS Roshantola, Distt. Munger, Bihar and Subhash @ Ghori Singh, s/o Ram Singh r/o Village Chandela PS Phodi Doomar, Distt. Banka, Bihar. On search of the accused one loaded country made pistol was found in the possession of accused Sanjay and one button actuated knife in the possession of accused Subhash. Following the recovery, cases vide FIR Nos. 139/08 & 140/08 U/s. 25/54/59 Arms Act, PS Saket were registered against the accused and they were arrested.

A team under the supervision of Sh. Mehar Singh ACP/Hauz Khas headed by Inspr. Pankaj Singh, SHO/Saket, assisted by Inspr. Ishwar Singh, SIs Gagan Bhaskar, Praveen Kumar, Dalip Kumar HCs. Ombir, Pradeep, Devender and Cts. Ravi Kaushik and Vinod was constituted to investigate the case and interrogate the accused. On sustained interrogation, accused Sanjay disclosed that he alongwith his associates had been committing house robberies on gun point. They used to recci the houses and identify the Kothis inhabited by single and old ladies for making them easy targets. Accused Sanjay further disclosed that on 13.09.07 he alongwith his associates including the co accused Subhash barged in a house in Shakti Nagar Extension Ashok Vihar Phase –III, overpowered the old lady namely Mrs. Pusplata and looted cash Rs. 50000/- alongwith jewellery and mobile phone. The incident was reported vide FIR No.602/07U/s 380/34 IPCPS Ashok Vihar. In another incident on 13.10.08 he alongwith his associates including the co accused Subhash barged in a house in Greater Kailash Area and overpowered the old lady namely Mrs. Subhadra Sharma and looted cash Rs. 1.25 lacs alongwith American $ 1100, jewellery and valuables. The incident was reported vide FIR No.137/08 U/s 394/34 IPC PS Greater Kailash.

INVOLVEMENTS

Both the accused had been previously involved in several cases of burglary, theft and Arms Act including a case of sensational house robbery of Rs. Ten lacs at pushp Vihar reported vide FIR No. 139/05 U/s 392/397/34 IPC PS Malviya Nagar.

One Ramesh (aged about 55years) S/o Devi Sahai, R/o Wazirpur J.J. Colony, Ashok Vihar while returning from his work of salesman at Cannaught Place when reached near Dhyan Chand Stadium on 22.12.08 at about 11.30 pm, suddenly two youths appeared and one of them asked Ramesh for Biri. When he replied in negative he slapped Ramesh. In the meantime his accomplice caught both the hands of Ramesh and the other boy who was asking for Biri took out Rs.150/- from his pocket and both fled away from the spot.
On raising an alarm by the victim, PCR van commander-8 staff comprising HC Subhash Chand, No. 589/PCR and Ct. Mahi Ram 7472/PCR came into action promptly and chased the culprits. Both of them were nabbed and identified as (1) Ajeet (aged-19 years) S/o Hari Singh, R/o Jhuggi Sahbad Dairy, Delhi and (2) Suraj (aged-18 years) S/o Prempal, R/o J.J. Colony Wazirpur, Delhi and the booty Rs.150/- was recovered from Ajeet. A case vide FIR No. 544/08 dated 23.12.08 u/s 392/411/34 IPC was registered at PS-Ashok Vihar, Delhi. Both the accused persons have been arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
