PTA Board Meeting

August 04, 2015

Called to order by Tina Bowden-Burrell @10:16 am

Meeting adjourned @ 12:24pm

Attendance: Dalene Coleman

-Tina Bowden- Burrell

-Monique Davis

-Shanera Crowe

-Charise Thomas (Last 10 min.)

Membership:

-All boards members sign and dated the Code of Ethics form (Mrs. Nelbett was absent)

-All membership dues were paid and deposited by Ms.Shanera Crowe the same day

-All members were reminded to go to the CMS website

-PTA will send out a quarterly newsletter and we ask Mrs. Davis to continue to put PTA in her monthly newsletter

Business:

-Pick up Resolution Form from BB&T Bank for our copy

-Teresa Cole $5,000 balance: She will make her first payment on August 05 we need to remind her that first payment was to be made in July so she will need to catch her payment so that by June all monies are collected in full

-Also Mrs. Coleman will continue contacted Wal-Mart so that we can get back in good standings for check writing.

-Executive Board Meetings will be held every 1st Tuesday 5:30-6:30

-Email Squeegee Tees and Susan Craig at DMC 33.COM (980-313-1233) for T-shirts decision (by Friday August 07)

-Next meeting will be September 01, 2015 @ 5: 30-6:30

-Get on the NCPTA website to look into ordering Board Members PTA shirts and PTA Membership envelopes

-Mrs. Tina motion for $75 for PTA Staff Appreciation Breakfast August 18th Dalene 2nd motion

-We will serve Muffins, Fruit, Juice and Water we will also create a gift bag for giveaway with goodies inside

Budget:

-Balance Carried Over: $ 3,376.74

-Collected $35 for Membership Dues

-Will send out an email to ask for help to create a Budget for 2015-2016 school year. (Mrs. Connie Cabbs)

AUGUST:

-August 21st @ 4-6pm OPEN HOUSE

-Set-Up PTA table at 3:30

-August 18, 2015 @ 8am PTA Staff Appreciation Breakfast serving a light breakfast and giveaway for first staff to join PTA ($75 allocated for supplies)

-August 24, 2015 FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

24th,25th,26th Staggered Entry Days for kindergartens Mrs. Request that PTA help assist with the arrival of the children and Friday the 28th when all students will be present

SEPTEMBER:

-General Meeting @6pm (Mrs. Davis will confirm date)

-Kick off first Fundraiser: Cookie Dough (Tina will provide more details with the vendor of choose)

-Executive Board Meeting September 01, 2015 @ 5:30-6:30

OCTOBER:

-Executive Board Meeting October 06, 2015 @5:30-6:30

-Read-a-Thon in the AM (Mrs. Davis will announce date)

-Fall Festival October 24, 2015 11-2pm or 3-6pm if sponsored by Hickory Grove Church

-Scholastic Book Fair October 12-19 (Waiting for Ms. Dupree to confirm)

-American Education Week (Serve Staff Lunch)

NOVEMBER:

-Executive Board Meeting November 03, 2015 @ 5:30-6:30

-Winter Celebration November 20, 2015 @ 6-8pm (need a form to send home with parent contact information and return during dance, we will have a photographer)

DECEMBER:

-Executive Board Meeting: December 01, 2015 @5:30-6:30

-Holiday Tea/Cookies December 10, 2015 7-8am
