Day 1 ARRIVAL NEW DELHI

Arrive in New Delhi.

You will be received at the airport and all the travel documents will be handed to you for your trip.

DELHI : New Delhi, the capital and the third largest city of India is a fusion of the ancient and the modern. Delhi, unwinds a picture rich with culture, architecture and human diversity, deep in history, monuments, museums, galleries, gardens and exotic shows. Comprising of two contrasting yet harmonious parts, the Old Delhi and New Delhi, the city is a travel hub of Northern India. Narrating the city's Mughal past, Old Delhi, takes you through the labyrinthine streets passing through formidable mosques, monuments and forts. The imperial city of New Delhi displays the finely curved architecture of British Raj. It generates a mesmerizing charm reflecting well-composed and spacious streets.

Day 2 DELHI

After breakfast, depart for sightseeing of New & Old Delhi by private car with an English/Spanish speaking guide visiting:

New Delhi

INDIA GATE: It is a 42m high stone arch of triumph. It bears the name of the 85,000 Indian Army Soldiers who died in the campaigns of World War I, the North-West Frontiers operations and the 1919 Afghan Fiasco. Below the arch is the memorial to the unknown soldier. India Gate is surrounded by green lawns and trees.

HUMAYUN'S TOMB : Built by the wife of Humayun, Haji Begum, in the mid 16th century, this red sandstone structure is considered to be the predecessor of Taj Mahal. The structure is one of the best examples of Mughal Architecture. Humayun's wife is also buried in the red and white sandstone, black and yellow marble tomb.

QUTAB MINAR: In 1199, Qutb-ud-din raised the Qutab Minar either as a victory tower or as a minaret to the adjacent mosque. From a base of 14.32 mtrs it tapers to 2.75 mtrs at a height of 72.5 mtrs. It is still the highest stone tower in India, one of the finest Islamic structures ever raised and Delhi's recognized landmark. It was completed by the Sultan's successor and son-in-law, Iltutmish. The tomb of Iltutmish, which he himself built in 1235, is located nearby. Its interiors are profusely decorated with calligraphy but the dome has collapsed.

Old Delhi

RAJGHAT: On 31st Jan. 1948, Mahatma Gandhi's last rites were performed here. The memorial stone of Gandhi is square in shape made of black stone. His last ward- 'Hey Ram' is inscribed on it.

RED FORT: Built in red sandstone this imposing fort has some emotions and sentiments attached with the Indian independence as the tricolor flutters on the top of this gate. On 15th August the Indian Prime minister addresses the nation from here.

JAMA MASJID: Built by Shah Jahan in 1658, it is one of the largest mosques in India with a seating capacity of more than 20,000.The mosque is situated near the Red. This is the area that still retains the traditional charm of markets in Mughal times. The bulbous domes and tapering minarets built with marble stand strong and beautiful even to this day. This mosque has three gateways, four angle towers and two 40 m. high minarets.

Cycle rickshaw ride will be provided at the bazaar area.

CHANDINI CHOWK: One of the main markets of Delhi, Chandni Chowk was once lined with beautiful fountains. But today the place is very crowded and congested. Chandni Chowk is located opposite the Red Fort.

Day 3DELHI-AGRA

After breakfast, depart for the Mughal city of Agra by private car – a leisurely 4 hours drive.

AGRA:Agracame into limelight during the rule of Afghan King Sikandar Lodhi - who had made it the capital of his empire. Later in 1526 A.D., the Mughal Emperor Babar tookupon himself the task for renderingAgra, a uniquecharacter and beauty of its own The golden age of Agra's history, thusbegan to set in. The next few hundred years of Agra witnessed the rise of the pomp and pageantry of three great Mughal monarchs - Emperor Akbar, Jehangir and Shah Jahan - all of whom lavished on this fabled city, their love and riches immeasurable to transform the land into one of the great centers of art, culture, learning and commerce.

In the evening, visit the monument of love by sunset:

Taj Mahal. Sheer poetry in marble. Majesty and magnificence, unrivalled. The Taj Mahal, the one and only one of its kind across the world. The monumental labor of love of a great ruler for his beloved queen. The ultimate realization of Emperor Shah Jahan's dream.

One of the wonders of the world. From 1631 A.D., it took 22 years in the making. An estimated 20,000 people worked to complete the enchanting mausoleum, on the banks of the Yamuna. For a breathtaking beautiful view of the Taj Mahal, see it by sunset.

Day 4AGRA-JAIPUR

After breakfast, depart for sightseeing of Agra Fort by the same car and guide visiting:

The Agra Fort: The great Mughal Emperor Akbar commissioned the construction of the Agra Fort in 1565, A.D. although additions were made till the time of his grandson Shah Jahan.The forbidding exteriors of this fort hide an inner paradise. There are a number of exquisite buildings like Moti Masjid - a white marble mosque akin to a perfect pearl; Diwan-Am, Diwan-E-Khaas, Musamman Burj - where Shahjahan died in 1666 A.D. Jahangir's Palace; Khaas Mahal and Shish Mahal.

After the sightseeing, depart for the pink city of Jaipur by the same car stopping enroute to see the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri.

Fatehpur Sikri Akbar intended his city of Fatehpur Sikri to serve as an imperial capital, an alternate to the overcrowded city of Agra. Completed in 1585, the city was abandoned after only 15 years because of insufficient water supply. Thereafter it remained deserted, and almost perfectly preserved.

Jaipur : Jaipur is a reservoir of the architectural wonders embracing the rich legacy of India. The remnants of the bygone era boast of the royalty of Jaipur. There are many forts and monuments in Jaipur that are worth seeing. Amber Fort, Jaigarh Fort and Nahargarh Fort are the three antique forts that provide the spectacular view of the city. In the heart of Jaipur, there lies the stunning CityPalace. The Pink city marks its impact with the sight of the amazing Hawa Mahal.

Day 5JAIPUR

After breakfast, depart for an excursion to Amber Fort by the same car with an English speaking guide:

Amber(pronounced Amer) is situated about 11 kilometres from Jaipur and was the ancient citadel of the ruling Kachhawa clan of Amber, before the capital was shifted in the plains to present day Jaipur.

Elephant ride upto the Palace will be provided.

The Amber FortThe Amber Fort is located 11 km north to Jaipur. This fort had been the capital of Kachchwaha Rajputs. Later, Sawai Jai Singh changed the capital to Jaipur. The Amber fort was one of the popular sights of attraction in Jaipur, where the tourists can enjoy elephant rides from the bottom of the Amber fort to the hilltop. Constructed by Raja Man Singh I in 1592 and completed by Sawai Jai Singh I the fort is made in red sand stone and white marble. The rugged forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise with a beautiful fusion of art and architecture. Amber is the classic and romantic fort- palace with a magnificent aura. The interior wall of the palace depicts expressive painting scenes with carvings, precious stones and mirror settings.

The CityPalace: The CityPalace is a beautiful blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Albert Hall or CentralMuseum has a large collection of woodwork, jewelry, costumes, brassware, and pottery.

Jantar Mantar: Jantar Mantar in the CityPalace area is a working observatory and showcases the scientific brilliance of Sawai Jai Singh - the founder of Jaipur.

HAWA MAHAL is or Palace of Winds is the most famed landmark of Jaipur. Built to let the ladies of royal harem watch the royal possessions, Hawa Mahal is not a palace as the name suggests. Hawa Mahal is the part of the east wall of the CityPalace complex.

Day 6JAIPUR- UDAIPUR

Early morning transfer to the airport. Flight Jaipur – Udaipur.

Transfer to Hotel Udaivilas by the same car.

Room will be available at 12 noon.

Day 7UDAIPUR

After breakfast, depart for sightseeing of Udaipur city by the same car and guide visiting:

THE CITYPALACE: Built by Maharaja Udai Singh, the gorgeous CityPalace is a marvel in marble, situated on the banks of LakePichola. Majestically set on a hill, it is flooded with balconies, towers and cupolas along with the superb views of the lake and the city that can be cherished from the upper terraces. Surrounded by fortification walls, it has a triple arched gate at the entrance called Tripolia, which was built in 1725. A perfect amalgamation of Medieval European and Chinese architecture, the palatial complex has a number of astonishing buildings, well-planned gardens and fountains.

SAHELION KI BARI : On the banks of FatehSagarLake, a beautiful garden was built for the 48 maidens meant to be a part of the dowry of the princess. Widespread lawns, gushing fountains and dappled walking lanes characterize the garden. The garden has four pools with graceful kiosks and fountains that sport elephant trunks for spouts. These gardens appear distinct and immaculate in taste.

JAGDISHTEMPLE: JagdishTemple is one of the famous temples of Udaipur. Located in the CityPalace complex, this temple is made in the Indo-Aryan style of architecture. In 1651, Jagdish temple was built by Maharana Jagat Singh, who ruled Udaipur during 1628-53. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu (Laxmi Narayan), the preserver of the Universe.

In the afternoon, enjoy boat ride on LakePichola.

LAKEPICHOLA: Maharana Udai Singh II significantly distended the gorgeous LakePichola as a defense measure, when he founded Udaipur. Cradled amongst hills, gardens, havelis, temples and ghats, LakePichola is the picturesque spotlight of Udaipur. The lake sports two islands palaces - Jagniwas (popularly known as LakePalace) and Jagmandir. Visitors can enjoy boat rides which can be extremely enjoyable in the backdrop of the setting sun.

Late in the morning transfer to the airport. Flight to Delhi.

Day 10 SIEM REAPARRIVAL

Arrive in Siem Reap, Cambodia and after clearing formalities

you are welcomed by your private English speaking guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in.

Siem Reap is the capital city of Siem Reap Province. This small town is the gateway to the

AngkorArcheologicalPark, which is over 40 km2 and is home to more than 100 temples dating from the 9th to the 13th centuries.

Start to visit AngkorNationalMuseum. AngkorNationalMuseum will take the visitors through the journey back in time from the creation to the highest point of civilization. Through the use of interactive exhibits, visitors will develop a deeper understanding of customs, traditions and different beliefs of the ancient Angkorian empire. A tour of the museum will be joyful for both visitors who have a good understanding of ancient Khmer civilization and visitors who do not have any previous knowledge of the ancient Khmer empire. All artifacts will be divided into 8 galleries in chronicle order of the evolution which are enhanced by a realistic atmosphere. Throughout the whole experience AngkorNationalMuseum will allow this legend to slowly reveal before your eyes.

In the afternoon, you will visit with Boeung Mealea, sprawling jungle temple covering over one square kilometer. The temple is largely overrun by vegetation and very lightly touristed, giving it an adventurous, ‘lost temple’ feel. Constructed in a distinctly Angkor Wat style under the same king that built Angkor Wat, Boeung Mealea preceded and may have served as a prototype of sorts for Angkor Wat. Though there are some lintel and doorway carvings, there are no bas-reliefs and the carving are comparatively sparse. When the temple was active, the walls may have been covered, painted or had frescos. Boeung Mealea is located 63km east of town.

Day 11SIEM REAP (B, L)

Start to visit the Great City of Angkor Thom, which was the last capital of the Great Khmer Empire under the reign of Jayavarman VII. This city is surrounded by a 8 m high wall, each side of the city is 4 km long. It draws a perfect square you access this town through 5 gates; 4 of them represent the cardinal points and the 5th one the Victory Gate was the one leading directly to the Royal Palace Area.You will arrive via the South Gate, an impressive stone gate carved with Elephants and 4 giant faces. On each side is a row of 54 gods or demons holding the sacred Naga snake. From here you enter the city by elephant and arrive at the BayonTemple.

This monumental temple lies exactly in the center of the city with its 54 towers representing

the 54 provinces of the then Great Khmer Empire. Each tower has 4 faces. Continue on to visit the terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King.

LunchCafe Indochine

This afternoon continue your visit to the largest religious temple in the world; the magnificent AngkorWatTemple. Built by Suryavarman II, in early 12th century Angkor Wat is constructed following the model of the temple mountain symbolizing the MountMerou, home of the gods.

Considered the masterpiece of Khmer architecture, this Vishnu temple is the King’s funerary temple. These are the main reasons to explain the West exposure of the temple.

Inside the temple walls are covered by carvings and bas-reliefs depicting the Hindu mythology

and the wars Suryavarman II made during his reign. Angkor Wat is also well known for its 2000 Apsaras dancers decorating the temple.

A round 17h00 takes hot-air Balloon Ride to watch a sunset over the temples and the surroundings jungle.

The tethered balloon takes you 150-200 meters high for panoramic views of the AngkorArcheologicalPark.

Day 12SIEM REAP (B, L)

This morning visit the Banteay Srey and Banteay Samre. Banteay Srei is made of pink sandstone

and is one of the smallest temple you can visit but one of the most beautiful as well.

Built in 967 AD by a guru to Jayavarman V, it showcases the most exquisite, deep and complex carvings in all Khmer architecture. As well the carvings and bas relief are in a perfect condition although being here for more than millenary. On the way back to Siem Reap you will visit the Banteay Samre. Situated on the eastern edge of the Angkor complex, this temple is very similar to Angkor Wat.This structure, with its typical lotus flower shaped tower, has compact proportions.The temple was built during the finest period of the Khmer architecture and it is nearly perfect condition.

Lunch Viroth’s restaurant

In the afternoon drive to LakeTonle Sap where you will have the opportunity to learn about life on the lake. Tonle Sap is Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake with its size varying greatly depending on the season. During the dry season it is roughly 2,500 km2, swelling to about 4 times it size in during the wet season:

10,000 km2! You will board a boat and visit Kampong Phluk, about 40km southeast of Siem Reap,

where you will see floating villages, farms and even a floating hospital.

Kampong Phluk also offers a close look at the submerged forest and lakeside village life.

You will see flooded mangroves forests surrounding the area which is home to a variety of wildlife including crab-eating macaques. You will journey on your own boat while watching a spectacular sunset with a bottle of champagne, canapé and soft drink, as your boat cruise slowly along the lake, passing the floating villages, floating markets, clinics and schools.

Day 13 SIEM REAP – DEPARTURE – ARRIVE HANOI(B)

This morning start to explore Ta Prohm. The most famous among these is Ta Prohm Temple. This is the jungle overgrown temple which has been featured in several Hollywood movies such as Tomb Raider, Indiana Jones and Two Brothers. The large fig trees have merged with the ancient stones and have been left untouched by conservationists. It is truly an awe inspiring site to see how the vegetation is keeps the temple walls “glued” together. If the time allow continue to visit the Artisans d’Angkor, established in 1992 in order to support Cambodian arts and crafts and to help young people find work in their local villages by continuing the practice of traditional arts.
