The Emergency Response Unit (ERU) Competitive Call is being published in accordance with Legal Notice 350 of 2016 – Emergency Procurement Regulations, 2016
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
I. / Summary of Product Characteristics (SPC) OR Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) (or Mockup when not available) OR product literature are to be supplied for each item on offer.
II. / For medical materials and surgical devices kindly present the Declaration of Conformity.
III. / Delivery period should be within 7 Working Days from Confirmation of Order. However if no contractor can meet this requirement the CPSU may consider otherwise.
IV. / Quotations received without delivery time frames are considered to be in line with the above delivery time frames (7 days). Offers stating delivery details as ‘to be supplied upon request’ shall not be considered.
V. / Payment terms for this Competitive Call are thirty (30) days from receipt of goods.
VI. / If a consignment is not delivered within the stated delivery, ERU reserves the right to cancel part/all order.

Please be informed that every CompetitiveCall shall be published on the CPSU website [ and on The Malta Government Gazette. Alerts of issue shall be sent to every registered Economic Operator for each Competitive Call. Visit the CPSU Website through the
following link to register.
Full list of bidders shall be published on the CPSU Website for each Competitive Call being issued by CPSU. List of Bidders shall be published prior to the commencement of the evaluation of the offers submitted.
Following the conclusion of the adjudication process, CPSU shall publish the Adjudication Result on the CPSU Website.
CPSU shall publish a list of all awards on The Malta Government Gazette and the CPSU website as per Legal Notice 350 of 2016.

Proton Pump Inhibitors for Infusion
Proton pump inhibitor preparation for infusion. Proton pump inhibitor preparations suitable for injection only will not be considered.
The following preparations are being considered comparable on a 1:1 basis:
1.Esomeprazole 40mg for injection and infusion
2.Omeprazole 40mg for infusion
3.Pantoprazole 40mg for injection and infusion
- In the event of quotes for other products, these will be evaluated based on the clinical information available.
- In order to financially evaluate all offers submitted on equal terms, offers submitted must include:
- Indication of type of diluent required.
- Quantity in ml or % of diluent required per unit of proton pump inhibitor when given by infusion.
- Financial offer (Volume 4) must be compiled of the cost of proton pump inhibitor preparation for infusion and the pro rata cost value of either normal saline or dextrose based on the following rates:
b)€ 1.04 per 100ml of 5% dextrose for IV infusion
- Indicated prices for normal saline and dextrose are as per respectively last awarded by CPSU contract agreements.
