PROPOSED ODOR ELIMINATION SYSTEM FOR 260 RAILROAD HILL STREET, WATERBURY, CONNECTICUT

AiReactor, Inc. of Maspeth, New York, is to design,build,andinstallamultiplezonesystemtocontrolodorsanddustatthetransferstationlocatedat260RailroadHillStreet,Waterbury,CT.Themultiplezonesystemwillbedivided into3individualzones.Eachzonewillbeservicedbyahighwaterpressurepumpandmotor,vaporizingwater@l000 G.P.M.

Scopeofwork:

(Zone1)-An estimated 10,000sq.feetofthetransferstationwillreceivepaperandcorrugated.Thismaterialwilldevelopfinedustgeneratedbythehandlingandprocessing.Includedinthe10,000sq.feetsectionofthebuildingarethe(3)overhead20'Wx20'Hrollupdoorswhichrecyclingvehicleenterandexitfrom,Dustcontrolwillbeachievedbysecuring(2)100 footestimatednozzlesspanningthetippingfloorfromentranceoverheaddoorstoelevatedpickingline.Atotalof56 estimatednozzleassemblieswillbefittedonbothlinesalternatinginaleftrightpattern.Nozzleswillbeplaced4footoncenterformaximumcoverage.The(3)entranceoverheaddoorswillbefittedwitha"horseshoe"nozzlelinearoundtheframeofeachdoorvaporizingfromsidesandtop,totalof36nozzleassemblies.

(Zone2)-Theestimated20,525feetinteriorofthetransferstationwillbededicatedtoreceivingmunicipalsolidwasteandconstructiondemolition.Thisareawillrequireasystemcapableofcontrollingairborneodorsgeneratedbythereceivingandhandlingofmunicipalsolidwasteandairbornedustgeneratedbythereceivingandprocessingofconstructionanddemolitionmaterial.Sixnozzlelinessecuredtosixroofsteel"I"beamsupportswillspanthe entirereceivingandprocessingandhandlingofthemunicipalsolidwasteandconstructiondemolitionfromthefrontentranceoverheaddoortotherearwallofthebuilding.Estimated 125’feet,a totalestimated 150nozzleassembliesplaced5footoncenteralternatinginaleft/rightpatternwillbeinstalledformaximumeffectonbothodorsanddust.

(Zone3)- The(3)truckaccessoverheaddoorstothetippingfloorofthemunicipalsolidwaste andconstructiondemolitionareasandtheoverheaddoortothetrailerloadareawillbefittedwithnozzleassemblies.A"horseshoe"typenozzlelinewillbeplacedintheoverheaddoorframes,vaporizingfrombothsidesoftheoverheaddoorsandthetopcontrollingodorsanddustfromleavingthebuilding.

Allthreezoneswillbecontrolledbya wirelesshandheldtransmitter;eachzonecanbestarted andstoppedbysimplypressingabuttononthetransmitter(nobiggerthanakeychain ornament).Themaincontrolpanelwallmountedinthe"bunkerbuilding"willhaveamasteron/offswitchtoshutdownallthreezones.
