in the Classroom next to the Wrestling room.

  1. Administrative Details
  • Club Fee –$35 first Child / $15 for each additional child – this fee includes MatCats Tournament Entry Fee, BV Wrestling Camp Entry Fee, up to 3 Paid entry fees, up to $150 in wrestling camps, districts, regions and state entry fee & is subject to change based on club funds.
  • AAU Card-all wrestlers must have a valid AAU card in order to participate in practices, MatCats tournament and other AAU events
  • $16 per child – AB coverage
  • $16 per coach plus $10 for SDWCA coaching stamp. (Coaching stamp on your own)
  • The MatCats will handle ordering of requested AAU cards until Nov 23, 2015. AAU cards requested after that date can be purchased on-line by the individual. All Matcats fees and AAU Cards must be purchased and paid for prior to the start of the season. If you do not have funds with you fill out the registration form and mail to the P.O. Box above.
  • MatCat apparel can be ordered at matcatsDeadline is Nov. 16thOrders will be in mid-December

ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION

BRANDON VALLEY MATCATS WRESTLING CLUB, INC.

ARTICLE III

It shall be the purpose of this non-profit wrestling club:

  1. To promote the sport of wrestling in the Brandon, South Dakota area. Promotion of the sport of wrestling shall include but not be limited to regular scheduled conditioning and wrestling skills practice, individual in-practice competition, individual tournament competition, tournament team competition, coaching, officiating, and conducting an annual Brandon Valley MatCats Invitational Tournament at Brandon Valley High School. All forms of wrestling will be recognized, with emphasis placed on “folkstyle” and “freestyle” forms.
  2. To provide support for the Brandon ValleyHigh School Wrestling Program.
  3. To insure active youth participation in the South Dakota State Sanctioned Wrestling Programs.
  4. To develop young athletes with basic wrestling skills.
  5. To provide young athletes with opportunities for physical development and conditioning.
  6. To provide young athletes with opportunities for mental development and conditioning.
  7. To provide the opportunity for young wrestlers to learn the meaning of respect for others and good sportsmanship.
  8. To provide parents of young athletes with opportunities for active participation in an organized local wrestling program with their youth.

The corporation is authorized to do all things necessary to fulfill these purposes, and to otherwise manage the affairs of said corporation and generally do any and all acts that may be necessary, convenient for the furtherance of the purpose for which the corporation is organized, or any other purpose authorized by law.
