Promote cycling and the Tour of Britain with your video clip

The Tour of Britain is speeding through Derbyshire on September 11 – and we want you to help promote the eagerly-awaited event by telling us what makes cycling so great!

Whether you like it because you can cycle with your friends or because it gets you out into the Derbyshire countryside with your family, we want you to record a short video on your smartphone or a video cameraof no more than 30 seconds saying why you like to ride a bike.

You might like to shoot your video clip in front of some of Derbyshire’s iconic scenery, or at a local cycling event that, for you, really captures the spirit of the sport – it’s up to you!

The best four video clipswill win a prize supplied by professional Derby-based cycling Team Raleigh-GAC.

Their team boss, Cherie Pridham, will then pick one overall winner of the competition, who will have their picture taken with Team Raleigh-GAC members.

Winning videos will be used tohelp promote cycling and the Tour of Britain and will feature on the Derbyshire Sport and Team Raleigh-GAC websites.

You can enter as an individual or as part of a group, but if a group is the winner, the prize will be spilt accordingly.

The competition winners will be informed before the start of the summer school holidays, so the closing date for entries will be on Friday July 10.

Please send files in the formats of MOV, MP4 or WMV only.
