April/May/June 2017 – Start Advertising in Church Bulletin, Catholic School classes and CCD classes for players to sign up for 2017-2018 CYO basketball. Have your coach’s contact or mail/email all players from the past year to register by October, 2017.

In regards to giving us gym time…

  • Submitting 10-12 dates of gym availability does not guarantee that your facility will be used for every date and time you submit.
  • The OYYAM office needs flexibility of gym space throughout the season to properly schedule all league games. It is the desire of the OYYAM Office to schedule multiple games for each date at the home gyms and to allow those parishes who submit gym time to have their fair share of home games for theteams in their entire program.

  • High School Basketball Tryouts start on November 27, 2017, end on Dec 1
  • Christmas and New Years are Monday’s
  • Catholic School Sunday is January 28
  • Catholic High School registration is morning of Saturday, February 3, 2018
  • Super Bowl Sunday is February 4, 2018 with a 6:30 PM kickoff
  • High School Spring sports season start on March 2, 2018
  • Easter is April 1, 2018

  • Dates of School Plays and music concerts for both Catholic and public schools
  • Religious Education events; retreats, first reconciliation, communion, confirmation, etc.
  • Dates your gym is being used for a Parish or School event
  • Other in town conflicts; tryouts for other sports, Scout events, Music and Dance recitals
