Project proposal must be faxed (585-223-7712), emailed () or mailed to the Rochester Regional Library Council (390 Packett’s Landing, Fairport, NY 14450) so that it is received by midnight, Sept. 30, 2015.

PROPOSAL INSTRUCTIONS

SECTION 1 / Complete all information. Eligible applicants are the Rochester Regional Library Council and all its member libraries; the Monroe County Library System and the Pioneer Library System and all their members; the five school library systems in the Greater Rochester Area: Monroe #1 BOCES; Monroe #2 BOCES; RCSD; WFL; and GV BOCES. For profit organizations are not eligible.

SECTION 2 / You may submit more than one application, but please indicate the priority of each.
If this is a cooperative project with another library, organization, or library system, please indicate contact information for each.
SECTION 3 / Acceptance of partial grant. Indicate whether you will accept a partial grant, and if so, how that will affect the project. It is strongly suggested you agree to accept a partial grant, as grant funds are limited and many proposals are received.
SECTION 4 / Goal or purpose. State the project goal. What is the intended purpose of the project or the expected outcome?
SECTION 5 / Need for Project. Explain why this project is needed.
SECTION 6 / Target Audience. Who is this project meant for? Who will be served or benefit?

SECTION 11 / Funding summary. Provide a summary here of the project budget. Use whole dollar amounts. Include the amount of the grant request as well as the total “in-kind” contributions. In-kind can be actual dollars used for the project from another source or items such as the value of staff time devoted to the project. NOTE: In-kind contributions are not required.
SECTION 12 / Detailed Budget (use whole dollar amounts). Provide details of how grant funding will be expended and what the dollar value of any in-kind contribution is. Costs not allowed: food, prizes, “give-aways” or in-direct costs. Note on personnel costs: Grant funds cannot be used for full time employees, but can be used to hire additional project employees or add hours to current part time staff.
SECTION 13 / Budget Narrative. Explain in sufficient detail for a reader to clearly understand how the funding for this project will be used.
