Specification of Product or Goods
The supply of a portable, user-friendly low voltage electrical installation tester with the following specifications:
1. Performs earth leakage instantaneous and delayed trip tests on 30 mA earth leakages (RCDs).
2. Measures the insulation resistance (10 kOhm to 1000 Mega-Ohm).
3. Measures the loop impedance (0.01 Ohm to 1900 Ohm).
4. Measures prospective short circuit current corresponding to the listed loop impedance listed in the previous point (up to at least 10 kA).
5. Measures continuity of conductors.
6. Determine whether the wiring polarity is correct or not.
7. Meets all of the applicable requirements of the latest editions of IEC 61010, IEC 60364-6 and IEC 61557.
8. Meets all applicable South African standards.
9. Does not damage appliances connected to the circuit under test.
10. Compensates for the impedance of any test leads used with the tester.
11. Test results are displayed as numerical values.
12. Supplied with pointed leads and with a South African standard 3-pin plug.
13. Rated up to at least 500 V a.c.
14. Rated for a temperature range of at least -10 degrees C to +50 degrees C.
15. Is supplied with a protective carry case.
16. Batteries are supplied and are rechargeable, with any leads or chargers required to perform the charging also supplied.
17. The batteries are easily replaceable should they fail.
