Evaluating Course Impact

Project Description: Provide a rationale, a clear description of the project, and design of evaluation plan. Also include the research question, types of data and evidence that will be collected and the anticipated impact of evidence on course redesign and student learning. Be sure to indicate the course level that the project targets and describe plans for departmental involvement,student involvement and dissemination of research findings.

Specific Questions (required):

1.In what ways and to what extent does this project plan align with the strategic priorities of the faculty?

2.In what ways will the project help to enhance students’ overall learning experiences in the course?

3.In what ways will this program help you support mentoring your peers and develop broader teaching & learning networks?

4.Givenyour project goals and outcomes, what measures do you plan to use to assess impact of intervention?

Implementing Program Change

Project description: Provide a rationale, a clear description of the project, and design of the implementation plan. Also include proposed timelines, deliverables, proposed project team and the anticipated impact of evidence on program change and student learning. Be sure to indicate who will be involved (roles & responsibilities) and describe plans for departmental involvement, student involvement anddissemination.

Specific Questions (required):

  1. Which academic program will be enhanced by this project and in what ways will the project help to enhance students’ overall learning experiences in the program?
  2. In what ways and to what extent will this project help implement recommendations from the program’s most recent academic program review (IQAP) and/or strategic priorities of the faculty?
  3. In what ways will this program help you support mentoring your peersand develop broader teaching & learning networks?
  4. Given your project goals and outcomes, what measures do you plan to use to assess impact of intervention?

BUDGET PROPOSAL FOR FIRST YEAR OF FELLOWSHIP (up to $7,500 is available)
