Project Engineer (LogFAC)

PCI is actively seeking aProject Engineerto provide support to the Logistics Feasibility Assessment Capability (LogFAC) program office, which is within the Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate (AFLCMC/HI) at Maxwell-Gunter AFB, AL.

LogFAC supports planning, execution and monitoring of forces, equipment and supplies during peacetime, contingency situations, periods of national crisis, and both limited and global war.

Responsibilities:

  • The ideal candidate will work with functional logisticians to capture requirements, determine scope of improvements, review interfaces, address any policy issues that become apparent, and assess performance.
  • Compile necessary data and present briefings to leadership and/or other stakeholders on the status of current and future program direction.
  • Support Request for Proposal (RFP) development and Source Selection activities during the follow-on sustainment and program enhancement contractor selection process. The review of contractor deliverables for technical and contractual compliance is an expected activity of this position.
  • Understanding, monitoring, and reporting to the LogFAC Program Management Office (PMO) on the adherence to a disciplined systems engineering process is a skill sought.
  • The ability to establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, contract developers, and functional counterparts at base level, MAJCOM, HQ USAF, DOD, other agencies is required.
  • Interface with users and sustainment stakeholders regularly and facilitate elicitation sessions to rapidly identify solutions to resolve transition issues in the program.
  • Develops, reviews, and approves plans, schedules, and other technical documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years work experience, with experience on DoD or Air Force acquisition programs desirable.
  • Knowledge of one or more logistics data systems (including management information systems) in order to: validate or develop system requirements/procedures; evaluate system effectiveness; propose and/or implement interface of systems; trouble-shoot system problems from a functional standpoint.
  • Must be a self-starter, articulate, and an adaptable team player
  • Knowledge of the Air Force planning process to include both operations and logistics specifically sustainment requirement determination and analysis.
  • Ability to prepare and present oral and written presentations and deal effectively with all levels of management during meetings, conferences, and related activities
  • Candidate must haver an active US security clearance
