Project and Grants Manager (part-time): Job Description

Introduction

The Mark Evison Foundation (www.markevisonfoundation.org) is a charity set up in 2009 to promote the personal, mental and physical development of young people. It gives awards to young people aged 16-30 years for non-academic personal challenges that applicants propose, plan and carry out themselves. The Foundation aims to give awards to young people who lack such opportunity.

The underlying inspiration for the Foundation is the life of Lt Mark Evison of the Welsh Guards, who died from a gunshot wound in Helmand in 2009: he believed in personal growth though challenge, and helping others to bring out the best in themselves, often by teamwork. The Foundation has a board of unpaid trustees, and at present no other paid staff, although we have volunteers. It is based in South London. For further information please see the above website.
