Program Guidelines
Pringle offers a variety of programs that are suitable for school field trips, scouting programs, or other educational outings.
Our programs are designed to meet Wisconsin Model Academic Standards and local science standards. Recognizing that many area districts use FOSS science curricula, we have tailored our programs to compliment the FOSS program.
Hands-on activities are an essential component of our field trips. Suggestions and ideas are always welcome.
While our programs are geared predominately toward elementary students, we work with teachers and leaders to put together programming for any age group from toddler to senior citizen.
All school programs are two hours in length. Arrangements can be made for students to eat bag lunches at the center. Students and adults must come dressed appropriately for the weather.Footwear is especially important as we are often hiking through the woods. Cancellations due to inclement weather are rare.
We ask that chaperones do not bring their cell phones with them as they are a distraction to the chaperone and create safety issues with them not paying attention to the student’s behavior. We understand that some chaperones may need their cell phones with them while on the field trip for their job or other emergency reasons. If they must answer the phone, it should be an emergency and we ask that they step away from the group when they take the call. Teachers are allowed to have their cell phones/tablets with them.
Please provide your students with a name tag when they come to the nature center.
The charge is $4.00 per student with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 50 students with at least one chaperone per 10 students.Cancellations or changes to your registration must be made 14 days prior to the scheduled visit to receive a refund.Groups have five (5) days to adjust their attendance and those that arrive with fewer people than were paid for will not receive a refund. Payments are due on or before arrival.
