Smokey (Meet and Greet) 1900 till 2100 COST $50 per person

Registration and Smokey will be held at the Bayview on the Park, Queens Road, Melbourne. The Smokey will include 2 hours of drinks and finger food. For those that wish to ‘kick on’ there will be a cash bar available.

Registrations will again be open from 1000 at the Bayview for those who can’t get there on Friday.

DAY TRIPS:

HEALESVILLE SANCTUARY TOUR

Cost $70.00pp

If you have chosen the Healesville Sanctuary Tour, departure from Bayview on the Park will be at 0800 sharp.

Travel east of the city through lovely rainforest scenery. Stop at Grant’s Reserve and enjoy Devonshire Tea, then continue on to the Healesville Sanctuary which is cradled in the forested foothills of the Great Divide.

On arrival you will be given a 2 hour guided tour and meet iconic Australian animals, including koalas, platypus, dingoes, kangaroos, wombats and emus in their natural surrounds.

Healesville Sanctuary is world renowned for its work saving endangered animals from extinction. The Australian Wildlife Health Centre, cares for more than 1500 sick, orphaned and injured animals every year.

The return journey should arrive back in Melbourne at approximately 1500 giving you plenty of time to explore the CBD or have a nana nap before dinner.

RIVER CRUISE & HMAS CASTLEMAINE TOUR

Cost $40.00pp

We have had numerous requests to repeat this tour.

Bus will leave Bayview on the Park for the Southbank departure point at 0945 Sharp.

Cruise by Melbourne’s CBD and Docklands on your journey to the old maritime seaport of Williamstown (Complimentary Tea & Coffee) on the way. There is plenty of time to explore this early colonial settlement, have a light lunch (own expense) at one of many cafes or restaurants in the area or just take in the stunning waterfront bay views.

The HMAS Castlemaine is berthed at Gem Pier Williamstown and has now been restored as a floating museum and naval memorial for the benefit of all Australians. It is maintained by a dedicated crew of volunteers who will make your visit an enjoyable experience.

Depart from Gem Pier at 1430 to cross the bay into the Yarra River giving you a wonderful opportunity to view the magnificent Melbourne skyline before arriving back at Southbank at approximately 1530. Make your own way back to the hotel.

MELBOURNE CITY SIGHTSEEING

If you would rather check out the CBD on your own there are two excellent options.

There is the FREE City Circle Tram (Red) which is a convenient way to see the sights of central Melbourne as well as experiencing a ride on one of the Historical Trams.

The closest boarding stop from the hotel is at Flinders Street and operates from 10am until 6pm Sunday to Wednesday and from 10am until 9pm Thursday to Saturday.

Then there is the Melbourne City Tourist Shuttle – Cost is $5 for the day. On board you can view the city in comfort while listening to an informative commentary about the city’s attractions. You can hop on and off at any of the 13 stops.

The most convenient boarding stop from the hotel is at The Arts Centre. The Shuttle runs daily, every 30 minutes from 0930 until 1630.

EVENING:

FORMAL DINNER: Cost: $95 per person

The formal dinner will be at the ‘Bayview on the Park’ commencing at 1900 to be seated by 1930.

This will be a 3 course sit down formal dinner, including drinks.

SUNDAY 28TH Feb 2016

FAREWELL MORNING TEA (seated) Cost $25 per person

This will be held in the banquet room at “Bayview on the Park” and you needed to be seated by 1000.

This is an opportunity to swap addresses or take your own last minute photos and make plans to meet in the Hunter Valley in 2018.

A raffle will be held and the proceeds will be donated to charity.
