President’s Message

We’ll catch up on President’s Challenge this month for the second chance to bring a string powered top. If you brought a string powered top to the Bloomington Picnic meeting, you don’t have to bring it again, but you do have to tell young Roger Alexander (LOL) that you did and you will be given credit for the participation. I have an oversupply of small donated items, so will be having multiple drawings for the participants in the President’s Challenge this month.

We lost a few members this year that did not want to renew their membership. If you are unhappy with the club direction or have suggestions for improvements, please don’t be bashful. Send me a private email if you don’t want to speak up at the meeting.

July Meeting Minutes

Because the meeting was a social event and not a regular meeting, there were no minutes taken. We had a great turn out for the July Potluck get together and the weather was fantastic! We had approximately 40 with guest.

July Treasurer’s Report

At the time of preparing the newsletter, we did not have a treasurer’s report. Hod may have the information available by the meeting Monday

Web Site Link

Don’t forget to check on the Club web-site for current information and updates on club

activities. Stephan works hard to keep information current and of interest.

The following is a link to the website.

Fall Pro Demo Reminder

We have Jason Clark booked for a demo on Saturday, October 15th. Jason, a popular demonstrator from Arizona, has recently relocated to Chicago. I am told he does an excellent beginners program but then transitions to his signature pieces. He is known for his torus, a hollowed donut and his movable offset platters. I am excited to welcome Jason to the CIW. Details will follow but block out that day on your calendar.
