Program for a three day camp

We are pleased to confirm your visit to Cascade EEC. The times are a guide only.

DAY 1

11.00Arrive at Cascade. Unload Bus. Welcome. Safety Briefs. Toilet Stop. Students settle into cabins. Morning Tea. Teacher brief. Introduction to National Parks and bushwalking rules.

12.00Depart for 3km return walk to Box Ridge. Lunch En-route. “Discovery” walk.

4.00Magic Spot.

4.30Evening routine, Recreation, showers, dinner. Activities programmed and conducted by your school staff.

DAY 2

7.00amRise. Pack all Gear not needed for day. Clean cabins as per checklist. Breakfast.

8.30Cascade staff arrive.

9.00Magic Spot.

9.30Prepare for activities.

10.00Bugs in the bush / Bugs in the water.

Morning tea will be held during this rotation

12.30LUNCH

1.00History walk and Archeology dig…OR….Mountain Biking at Cascade.

3.00Afternoon Tea.

3.30Low ropes Training.

4.00Evening routine, Recreation, showers, dinner. Activities programmed and conducted by your school staff.

DAY 3

7.00amRise. Pack all Gear not needed for day. Clean cabins as per checklist. Breakfast.

8.30Cascade staff arrive.

9.00Group Problem Solving activities…OR…Low ropes course.

10.30Biodiversity Trail. Morning Tea will be held during this rotation.

12.00LUNCH

1.00Farewells. Depart for school.

Please Note:

  • The cost per student for a three day Camp is $86. This includes all programs, accommodation and all meals from afternoon tea day one to lunch day three. Students are required to bring their own morning tea and lunch on day one. (prices subject to change if necessary) Catering includes all purchases and food preparation for meals from afternoon tea on day 1. Your group will be required to place meals in the oven or on BBQ, serve and clean up afterwards. The price includes four adults for free;extra adults will be charged $65 for catering.
  • Accompanying teachers and parents will be required to assist in delivery of programs and control student behaviour.
  • Please photocopy the attached worksheets for each student attending.
  • Please inform EEC staff of any student or staff medical or behaviour issues on arrival at the venue. Please ensure medication is brought as required and students requiring behaviour support have adequate supervision planned for the day.
