CIW Pro-Turner Programfeaturing Jason Clark

Saturday, October 15th

We are very excited to have Jason Clark visiting the CIW for a demo on Saturday, October 15th9:00 AM til 3:00 or so. We will meet at our Bloomington location Sprague’s Shop. The fee is only $20 if paid before end of meeting Monday 10thor $25 at the door or for non-CIW Members. As always bring a chair and plan a sack lunch. Signup sheet is attached and on the website. New in Chicago having recently moved from Phoenix, a woodturner with many years experience who has been active in Regional and National Turning expos. Jason has been selected to demo at the 2017 AAW Symposium in Kansas City. John will demo three projects for the CIW. After warming up with some Multi-axis spindle work he will apply the multi-axis techniques to a lidded box. What follows will be one piece each of his signature works a Torus hollow form and a Saturn Bowl. Image a big hollow donut when you think of a Torus and the Saturn bowl is designed to allow the holder to twist and manipulate the bowl to provide different views and grain alignment. His Saturn bowl is just plain cool! Jason comes highly recommended by a CIW member and his peers in the woodturning community.

Lunch / Refreshments / Accommodations:Please bring a sack lunch. Donations of cookies or other treats are always welcome at CIW events. Bring your comfy folding chair.
