Department

The chair is part of the department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, which also includes the Clinical Research Center Nijmegen (CRCN). The administration of drugs to patients forms the starting point of all core departmental activities. On the one hand, performance and effectiveness (pharmacology) are central, but so are the possible harmful effects (toxicology) of new and existing medicines. The department has five subdivisions which cover the entire spectrum from molecule to patient and even populations when it comes to the field of research and education.
