I have twenty-three (23) years of active and progressive experience in the field of Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering in Onshore Offshore Oil Gas Industries with different phase of Electrical Engineering, ranging from Electrical to Instrumentation practice, detailing, hook-up, commissioning, quality inspections, maintenance, estimation and start-up.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Performed quality control and over sight of construction works activities, and monitor contractor inspections and testing as per requirements approved inspection and test plan (ITP), specification, and drawings. Review ITP, Procedures, Drawings Vendor Data Sheets, Material Specifications, and other Quality related documents submitted by Implementation Contractors (SNC-LAVALIN & WORLEY PARSONS).

·  Assigned in the Material Handling Area, Reduction Area and Power Plant Area.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Acted as a reliever to the Engineering Manager during her absence from work and directly responsible for the Engineering related matters and the implementation of the project offshore.

·  Final review of work packages prepared by the discipline engineers ensuring that all the necessary reference documents/ drawings are attached in the Work Packages, the required safety procedures and all the materials required on the work orders have been called out and requested.

·  Prepared weekly reports and conduct teleconference weekly with offshore personnel and land based Operation personnel to discussed progress and highlights problems and constraints encountered during the implementation of works offshore.

·  Oversee all Contractors' development and implementation of a Project specific Completion Strategy, therein: Stage 1 (Mechanical Completion), Stage 2 (Function Testing), Stage 3 (System Commissioning) and Stage 4 (RFO, Ready for Operation).

·  Review and verify all Contractors' completion input to Project Master Schedule and detailed planning of all Completion activities.

·  Ensure all Contractors implement an effective organization for the Completion function and that they manage personnel to ensure a professional execution of responsibilities, therein; quality, timely completion and HSE aspects.

·  Follow up all Contractors' preparations and execution of all Project Completion activities, also including developing and implementing of a Project specific Completion Safety Strategy.

·  Assist all Contractors toliaise with Operations to ensure that Completion activities are executed in line with Operations' expectations and requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Responsible for the supervision of E&I Contractors during the fabrication of the Vasai East Development project (BCPA-2 Process platform) for Oil and Natural Gas Commission of India (ONGC) at Samsung Heavy Fabrication Yard, Geojie Island, South Korea.

·  Assigned as the main contractor’s (Samsung Heavy Industries) Site Representative (EI) during the Hook-up of the project at Bombay High Field, Offshore India and responsible for the supervision of the Sub-contractor for both Hook-up and interconnection activities of the new platform and modifications and Tie-in works at existing ONGC facilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Seconded to the Client, Brunei Shell Petroleum Co. Ltd. (BSP)-Operations/ Maintenance Dept. (Indicator-BSP-OPM/144) for the Certified-Equipments (Hazardous Areas) verifications/ inspections for all Brunei Shell Petroleum Asset Units (total of more or less than 200 offshore platforms and onshore satellite stations).

·  Responsible for the verifications inspections of all Electrical Instrumentation Explosion proof (EEx) equipments for Hazardous Areas in Champion-07 Offshore Field East Asset Unit), Ampa Offshore Field (West AU) and Darat Onshore Field AU.

·  Responsible for the generation of reports and inspection checklist for all EEx-certified equipment inspected/ verified, highlighting all the major findings of non-compliance to EEx equipments standards and specifications. Recommending solutions for rectifications of non-conformance and the replacement to certified types of equipments from existing non-certified equipments used in the Hazardous Areas.

·  Performed work scoping inspection to determine conditions of all the Electrical and Instrument equipments in Hazardous Zone-1 Zone-2 Areas and identify and hence subsequently quantify items on existing client’s asset which requires maintenance or replacements or repair.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Reviewed IFC, AFC drawings for Electrical / Instrumentation hook-up, safety shutdown system philosophy and identify work scope. Maintain complete project file as per “Workpack File System”.

·  Prepared jobcards and allocate budgeted manhours for all E I Hook up Commissioning activities and incorporate into construction network planning for work pack compilation.

·  Reviewed and identified the scope of work as indicated in the drawings against written scope of work and to raise and resolve technical queries, to clarify ambiguities/ discrepancies.

·  Prepared Commissioning write-ups for the project specified equipments, instruments control system.

·  Reviewed design package material take-off lists and identify additional or shortage materials required for the project.

·  Identified resources requirements i.e construction tools/ equipments and personnel, vendor assistance (if any) and special hook-up procedures required for the project implementation.

·  Advised client’s Project and Discipline Engineer on expediting outstanding technical queries, proposals and project documents require for the project preparation and implementation.

·  Highlighted workpack constraints and areas of concern that were encountered during project implementation. Established close contacts with the client’s Project and Discipline Engineers for timely input to the preparation of the work pack.

·  Assigned as the focal point during offshore execution of works and responsible for the supervision, monitoring and planning of the construction and pre-com. works. Liaison with client’s discipline engineers with STQ, Technical clarifications, materials delivery projections and assist E I supervisors to plan the next day activities, consolidate and feed back related information to the Project Planner.

Duration : April 10, 2002 to March 31, 2003

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Seconded to Brunei Shell Petroleum Co. Ltd. for the Champion Field-CP Well Test Rectification project. The project involved rectification and upgrading of current Well Testing Facilities for 31- platforms/locations in the East Champion Field Area. The Project includes Testing and Commissioning and Final Hand over to Operation Dept.

·  Lead a team composed of a Mechanical Engineers and a Mechanical Draftsman and responsible for the commissioning of the individual Well Test facilities, identifies discrepancies based on the PID drawings against the actual status and condition of the Test Separators. Recommends necessary solutions for the upgrade and improvement of the existing facilities.

·  Responsible for the calibrations and testing of the miscellaneous instrumentations of the Test Facilities. Performed continuity check of all I/O points from field Instruments of the Test facility to RTU SCADA.

·  Responsible for the verification of the condition and fitness of all existing instruments

in the Test Separator unit. These include field instrumentations, control valves, gauges, relief valves, isolation valves, piping, fittings and any special items in the skid including the upstream and downstream piping. Generated list of potential piping and instrumentation items that may require change out based on the current condition of the items during the site survey.

·  Responsible for the verification of wiring termination in the field junction boxes, marshalling cabinets and field devices. Field check and confirm availability of all input/output (I/O) points in the field and its respective interface with Flow Computer and Marshalling cabinets.

·  Preparation of work packages for piping and instrumentation systems modifications and close out reports upon project completion.
