Assignment: Students will be completing three things relating to Left to Tellnovel.

  • Journaling - Answering chapter questions in prayer journal throughout the duration of reading. Each week Miss Johnsen will check to ensure journaling has been done. Five points will be given each week for completion, totaling 50 points.
  • Letter- Each student will write a two page typed (Times New Roman, 12 point font, double spaced, 1” margins, letter format) letter to Immaculee. Within the letter, ask follow up questions regarding her experience and also your response after hearing her story. This will total 40 points.
  • Student Project- Students will choose one of the three following projects below to complete which assesses their knowledge and response of Left to Tell. This will total 70 points

Student Project-

  1. Magazine Cover- Create a magazine cover, table of contents, and advertisements for at least 3 articles. This can be created using Word or Publisher.
  1. Music Playlist- Create a soundtrack of music for Left to Tell. Choose 8-12 songs, print off lyrics, write a brief (one paragraph) explanation of why you chose each song, and create a Cd cover.
  1. Scrapbook- Assemble a five page scrapbook that represent Immaculee. Recreate objects that she would have saved as keepsakes, such as letters, photos, movie ticket stubs, hobbies, etc. Then type/write a short description/ explanation next to each object of why it was meaningful to Immaculee.
