The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) requests session proposals for its 2012 ACCSC Professional Development Conference.

About the ACCSC Professional Development Conference

On September 10 – 12, 2012, ACCSC will host the 6th annual Professional Development Conference in San Diego, California. In recognition of the conference theme, A Community of Partners in Education, all conference educational sessions will focus on an aspect of partnerships within higher education. The conference schedule will include 12 concurrent sessions, each 75 minutes in length.

About ACCSC

ACCSC is a private, non-profit, independent accrediting agency dedicated to ensuring a quality education for more than 250,000 students who annually pursue career education at approximately 800 ACCSC accredited institutions. ACCSC’s mission is to serve as a reliable authority on educational quality and to promote enhanced opportunities for students by establishing, sustaining, and enforcing valid standards and practices which contribute to the development of a highly trained and competitive workforce through quality career oriented education.

ACCSC is recognized by the United States Department of Education as a reliable authority for the accreditation of private, postsecondary, non-degree-granting institutions and degree-granting institutions in the United States, including those granting associate, baccalaureate and master’s degrees, that are predominantly organized to educate students for occupational, trade and technical careers, and including institutions that offer programs via distance education.

Conference Target Audience

ACCSC is expecting approximately 250 representatives from the membership and higher education community to attend the conference. ACCSC will attempt to offer educational tracks to appeal to the following audiences:

  • ACCSC Accredited School Directors: Presidents, CEOs, etc.
  • ACCSC Accredited School Administrators: Directors of Education, Corporate Compliance Directors, etc.
  • Higher Education Policy

Session Proposal Guidelines:

  • All sessions should focus on an aspect of partnerships within higher education as it relates to the conference audience and career education.
  • Sessions must be educational in nature. Sessions that promote a company, service, or product will not be considered.
  • All sessions will be 75 minutes in length.
