Constitution Review
- Professional Council does not provide “binding” votes that all professional staff. This is different from the Staff and Faculty senates. These groups are “higher” in the governance structure.
- This is purely by how our contracts were written and how we became employed (professional contract versus classified employee.)
- Stronger in and advisory role than decision making authority.
- We have a great opportunity to advise and guide.
Communication
- Send newsletter out to all professionals 1X per month
- Communicate using our listserv
- Special Outreach when necessary like surveys through email.
- Response rates have been very low.
- What can we do to engage more professionals on campus?
