PROPYLENE GLYCOL

PROPYLENE GLYCOL is a glycol for use as a coolant or heat transfer medium in refrigeration systems in food processing applications.

APPLICATION

PROPYLENE GLYCOL is designed for use in the dairy, meat, brewing, beverage and fruit juice processing industries. Propylene Glycol is recommended as a coolant for stainless steel plate-type pasteurisers and general food processing equipment where a low toxicity coolant is mandatory.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES

PROPYLENE GLYCOL is a clear, bright, water-white and odourless liquid.

CHEMICAL PROPERTIES

PROPYLENE GLYCOL is chemically stable and of low toxicity and is suitable as a freezing point suppressant and coolant in food plant operations.

DIRECTIONS

Use in accordance with operating recommendations for the specific refrigeration plant concerned.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

PROPYLENE GLYCOL is not classified as hazardous. Refer to the MSDS for detailed safety recommendations.

APPROVALS

Formula Chemicals PROPYLENE GLYCOL meets the US Pharmacopoeia specification for use in pharmaceuticals for human oral ingestion.
