DCS

·  1, 2 OR 3 cabinet installation.

·  Main cabinet KSU (key service unit).

·  Expansion cabinets 1 & 2 (LPM)

·  Each cabinet has 7 universal slots. In a single cabinet installation all 7 slots are available for universal cards.

·  In a 2 or 3 cabinet installation the 7th slot in the KSU takes the Expansion A card, Expansion B cards are plugged into slot 8 of the expansion cabinets. EXPN-A and EXPN-B cards are interconnected with a HDLC cable (High data). The EXPN-A card is clearly marked 1st and 2nd for the other 2 cabinets.

·  Configurable sizes :-

Single cabinet 7 Universal slots.

2 cabinets 13 Universal slots (6+7)

3 cabinets 20 Universal slots (6+7+7)

·  One ROM card per system in slot 8 of the KSU. This is a dedicated slot.

Universal cards.

·  DLI (Digital Line Interface) 8 port keyphone interface.

·  When slotted in the 1st cabinet (KSU) 2B+D is provided to each extension port and by installing keyphone daughter boards (KBD’s) in the base of the 8 keystations supported by the DLI the second B channel can be used to support another device.

·  2 types of daughterboard:

·  KDb-D supports digital devices -Keyphone, SIM, Doorphone module, AOM

·  KDb-S supports single line devices POTS or Fax. etc.

·  KDb working only in the KSU.

·  Max 60 keyphones in KSU (power limitation).

·  SLI (Single Line Interface) 4 or 8 circuits for POT phones or faxes MF or LD working, TBR only.

·  TRK-A (Analogue trunk card) also called Misc. card. 2 ports loop start trunks with Misc. ccts. as follows.

·  2 x Trunks 2 ports

·  Internal MOH 1 port

·  External MOH 1 port

·  Paging zone 1 & 2 2 ports

·  Common bell 1 port

·  Loud bell 1 port ( keyphone additional bell )

·  Alarm sensor 1 port

·  TRK-B 4 port analogue trunk card loop start

·  8 TRK 8 port analogue trunk loop start

·  BRI (Basic Rate Interface) 4 x ISDN 2 (I.420) circuits. This card can only be fitted in the KSU. Can be configured as either trunks or S0 bus.

·  BRIN - as above with terminating resistors built in, also supports power feed for S0 bus.

·  PRI (Primary Rate Interface) 1 x ISDN 30 (I.421 Euro ISDN) This card can only be fitted in the KSU in slots 1, 3 or 5. The PRI requires two slots so the adjacent slots must remain empty. Maximum of 3 cards, i.e. 90 ISDN channels.

·  BSI (Base Station Interface) Connection point for up to 4 DBS’s (DECT Base Stations)

·  AC 15 Interface for 3 AC 15 circuits ( signalling standard 2280 Hz )

·  AA Automated Attendant. 8 channels, 16 Pre-recorded messages, 48 customer recorded messages in 127 secs of recording time, multi level working.

·  VDIAL Voice dialler. Maximum of 2 channels.

2 options: -

1 channel, 5 users, 40 memories.

2 channels, 7 users each channel, 20 memories.

·  Keystations

6 button simple

12 button standard

12 button display

24 button standard

24 button display

48 button Add On Module AOM = DSS

·  SIM Serial Interface Module. Interface for PC Modem or SMDR logging equipment.

Maximum 2 SIMs per system. Uses a DLI / KDB-Dli port.

·  DPIM. Doorphone Interface module. Uses a DLI / KDB-Dli port.

Programming Basics.

·  Hunt groups.

The system has up to 30 station hunt groups numbered 500 - 529

Maximum number of members is 48 and stations can be members of more than 1 group.

The max number of ringing stations is 32 so unconditional ringing groups should be limited to 32 members. Power limitation.

·  Pick up groups. 20 in system with unlimited number of members. Stations can be members of 1 only pick up group.

Note..When programming in K-MMC mode you are able to programme as many members as required. When programming from PC-MMC you will only be able to programme 48 members, this is a PC programme limitation.

·  System has 1 only Operator group. The group number is 500 and in default 201 (the first station on system) is the only member and in default all trunks ring the operator group.

·  There are 2 programming methods.

1  K-MMC programming via any display keystation.

2  PC-MMC programming via PC.

Only one person is allowed to programme at any one time.

·  Some important commands are not available to PCMMC and must be done via a keystation.

Save Station Key Programming. This command is important, as a change of keyphone type without saving will lose all key programmes.

Clear AA RAM. This command clears the customer recorded message section of the AA card. It is recommended that this action is done prior to any recording.

·  The speed dial capacity is allocated in “BINS” of 10 to stations and system.

Maximums are 5 Bins per station and 50 Bins for system.

Total number of system/station combined is 1500.
