Lesson 1 Overview (39.31 minutes)
Overview of the the Lawson ProcessFlow Product. It is strongly recommended that you review the Preview to ProcessFlow presentation because that presentation was rather in depth and help lead in to the Overview Presentation . Expanding upon the preview we will discuss
- ProcessFlow Implementation Team Considerations
ProcessFlow Architecture: Overview
- ProcessFlow Architecture: Flow
- Discuss the Server and Desktop ProcessFlow Software Components.
- Discuss the background and origin of ProcessFlow software.
- Make Reference to The ProcessFlow : Notification Approval examples that were illustrated in the Preview Presentation.
- In Basket Approval type ProcessFlow ( HR and Generic User Action)
- Implementation Considerations
- Configuration and Functional testing of ProcessFlow to ensure proper working order and compatibility of all software components .
Lesson 2 Configuration Testing (17.58 minutes)
To ensure that the components are properly functioning we will perform
follow-along tests to ensure that we are prepared to continue forward with
Online training lessons. The various tests willinvolve :
- The 4 Desktop software components of the ProcessFlow Product.
It is assumed that the Installation Instructions that accompany the CCSBase / ProcessFlow have been followed and the appropriate RD30.1
WF12.1 Records have been set up and that the Event Services are running
or are capable of being started. Also , review Chapter 4 of the ProcessFlow Admin Guide to confirm the configuration settings

Lessson 3a - f Using the ProcessFlow Designer to create and test ProcessFlows Testing
(27.02 minutes)
- Lesson 3a , in a follow along fashion we will introduce you to the ProcessFlow Designer Product via lesson 3a We will discuss 4 samples to be reviewed . But in this particular lesson we will open up the 2 Notification ProcessFlows:
Employee Anniversary/Birthday Notification (empdates.flo)
Employee Termination Notification ( TermNotifs.flo)
a Highlevel as well as detailed “node” by “node” review of these
ProcessFlows is covered
(24.32 minutes)
- Lesson 3b . In this particular lesson we will open up the 2 Approval ProcessFlows:
Requisition Approval (ReqApproval.flo)
Personnel Action ( salchgappr.flo)
a Highlevel as well as detailed “node” by “node” review of these
ProcessFlows is covered
(20.55 minutes)
- Lesson 3c . We have a follow along exercise to create and test the Employee Anniversary / Birthday Notification ProcessFlow . Save it as EmpDates_exc1.flo
(23.14 minutes)
- Lesson 3d . We have a follow along exercise to createand test the Employee Termination Notification ProcessFlow . Save it as TermNotifs_exc2.flo
(28.14 minutes)
- Lesson 3e . We have a follow along exercise to createand test the Requistion Approval ProcessFlow . Save it as ReqApproval_exc3.flo
In the course the of the above exercises we will be utilizing the API Builder Programs for DME and AGS so the intent of the above examples is to give us some hands-on experience as well as explores the functionality of each available node and the proper “Best Practice” Testing and Debugging of our ProcessFlows.
(10.22 minutes)
- Lesson 3f Summarizes the ProcessFlow Designer we will recap on what was learned thru lesson 3a thru 3f and we will review some the capabilities that had not been explored via the review of examples and the actual hands on building of 3 individual ProcessFlows
In the course the of the above examples we will be utilizing the API Builder Programs for DME and AGS so the intent of the above examples is to give us some hands-on experience with the Designer Application as well as explore the functionality of each available nodes and get experience with “Best Practice” Testing and Debugging methods needed to deploy ProcessFlows.
