Mindful Moments
Mindful Moments is a 4 week course for cancer patients focused on learning about and practicing mindfulness and meditation skills, with an opportunity to share experiences and gain support from others in a similar situation
Each weekly session will be for 2 hours with a short break and light refreshments, plus a planned review session six weeks later.

Mindful Carers
Mindful Carers is a course for people who are looking after a family member or friend who has cancer.
It will include learning about and practicing mindfulness skills along with the opportunity to gain support, talk to other carers and to share experiences and information.
WHEN: Wednesdays 4th, 11th and 18th May 2016
TIME: 10am to 12pm
WHERE: Belconnen Community Health Centre
Cnr Lathlain & Cohen Streets, Belconnen. Free 3 hour parking is available in the basement of the health centre. Please notify reception on your arrival.
DURATION: 3 weeks – one 2 hour session per week

Outline of Mindful Carers Course
Session 1: Introduction to Mindfulness and the benefits for carers.
Session 2: Mindfulness to help manage stress, worry and difficult emotions. Some practice of mindfulness exercises. Group discussion, sharing information and resources for carers.
Session 3: More mindfulness practice, tips for looking after yourself and developing a self care plan.
