The 4th annual Norfolk Academy Wrestling Classic will be held on Friday and Saturday December 16-17th at Norfolk Academy. It will feature 4 mats all in one main gym. The tournament will begin at 5:00 pm Friday December 16th and continue through Saturday, December 17th. With the schedule planned below, we should be done by 5:00 pm Saturday, December 17th. We will wrestle to 6th place with medals awarded to the top 4 places and trophies to top 3 teams.
We will be using a paperless scoring and system (Trackwrestling) with live updates throughout the event. Seeding criteria will also be established based on 2016 district, regional and state placers as well as won/loss record for the 2016-17 season only. Coaches must be able to record honestly the appropriate information to assist our staff with the seeding. Out of town teams can enjoy the Quality Suites Lake Wright hotel less than a mile away. Hospitality will be awesome during our event!!!!!

Interested coaches should complete the entry form and make contact with Chris Runzo ASAP to insure a spot in this event.

Proceeds will be donated to the Navy Seal Foundation.

Entry Fee $350
Coaches will have the opportunity to have additional wrestlers in this event where space is available.

Consolation semis 11:30 am on 4 mats (1-2-2) 28 Bouts
Short Break to change to 3 mats

Championship, 3rd-6th place matches 1:00 pm on 3 mats (1-2-2) 42 Bouts

Awards presented after two weights are completed and so on through the afternoon.

DIRECTIONS: From I-64, take Exit 282 (Northampton Boulevard / Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel). Stay to the right on the exit ramp and turn right at the first light (Wesleyan Drive). The school is on the right.
