PROCEDURES FOR FIRST-YEAR GROUPINGS FOR 2015

  1. In the case of modules with more than one group of students, all first-year students, excluding Engineering, BA with Music, BSc Wood+WPS, BSc EDP, Occupational Therapy and Speech-, Language- and Hearing Therapy are grouped by computer. The names of the students and their groupings and lecture venues will be available onMy.SUNfromThursday, 29 January 2015. The students will be briefed and instructed during orientation on how to access their Class Timetables and groupings.
  1. The exceptions mentioned in no. 1 can obtain their Class Timetables and groupings as follows:

  1. Students are requested to adhere to their groupings throughout the year, since the groupings are based on the number of seats available in each lecture venue.
  1. Any module clashes will be indicated on the timetables of the students concerned, who can then correct the clashes or change their courses from Monday, 2 February 2015, with the faculty secretary.
  1. Everyone working with first-year information or enquiries is requested to take note of the following and to advise students accordingly:
  • All students are responsible themselves for determining their groupings before the commencement of classes on Monday, 2 February.
  • The lecture times and (as far as possible) venues of the first lectures of the modules will be indicated next to the modules.
  • Should no lecture venue be specified, the department will supply the details at a later stage.
  1. Lists of the names of the students in all the groupings will be available on the web (Staff/Student-Admin/1st Year Groupings per Department) from Thursday, 29 January 2015. All the groupings of each department will be in one file. The grouping of each student separately will be available under “1st Year Groupings”.
  1. In the case of students registering later or making changes to their enrolment, follow-up groupings will be done daily from 2 February to 13 February and even later. These groupings will be available on the web daily, for registration done the previous day. After each run, the “1st Year Goupings” will also be updated on the web, so that only the most recent information is always available.
