- Students are requested to adhere to their groupings throughout the year, since the groupings are based on the number of seats available in each lecture venue.
- Any module clashes will be indicated next to the names of the students concerned, who can then correct the clashes or change their courses from Monday, 3 February 2014, with the faculty secretary.
- Everyone working with first-year information or enquiries is requested to take note of the following and to advise students accordingly:
- All students are responsible themselves for determining their groupings before the commencement of classes on Monday, 3 February.
- The lecture times and (as far as possible) venues of the first lectures of the modules will be indicated next to the modules.
- Should no lecture venue be specified, the department should be referred to.
- Lists of the names of the students in all the groupings will be available on the web in text file from a link on the Staff Portal (Manage Students | First-year Groupings) from Thursday, 30 January 2014. All the groupings of each department will be in one file. You will be able to open the file of your department and store it on your computer. There will also be a text file indicating the grouping of each student separately.
- In the case of students registering later or making changes to their enrolment, follow-up groupings will be done daily from 3 February to 14 February and even later. These groupings will be available every day on my.sun.ac.za for registration done the previous day. After each run, the group files will be updated on the web, so that only the most recent information is always available.
