NETC FINAL REPORT INFORMATION

  1. NETC Project Technical Committee reviews Draft Final Report for technical content. Project Technical Committee Chairman advises PI of results of review.
  1. When Project Technical Committee Chairman is satisfied that PI has adequately addressed the committee’s review comments he/she authorizes the PI in writing, with Cc to the Coordinator, to prepare the Final Report document in the format specified by the Coordinator.
  1. Coordinator instructs PI to provide the Final Report in the following formats:

-1 copy on CD in ADOBE PDF bookmarked as shown in Figures 1 & 2

-1 unbound paper copy

  1. NETC Coordinator’s Office checks the one copy of final report for:
  2. Correct report number
  3. Correct format of Title page
  4. Presence of and completion of Technical Report Documentation page (including number of pages including sum of all number and roman numeral pages)
  5. Correct page numbering of Tables, Figures, and start of Chapters using the Table of Contents
  6. Check, add, or edit Adobe PDF bookmarks (see Figures 1 & 2, attached)
  7. Check, create or change PDF report-opening settings (see Figure 3 attached), to be normally as follows:
  8. Open on page 1
  9. Display Bookmarks and Page
  10. Default Magnification
  11. Default Page Layout
  12. Readability of font sizes & print quality of material that has been

imported into the document (April 20, 2005 revision)

  1. If corrections are needed: Coordinator notifies PI to make corrections and resubmit the items listed in 3., above.
  1. Once all corrections have been completed:
  2. Coordinator requests 85 bound hard copies from PI
  3. Coordinator’s Office distributes hard copies
  4. Coordinator’s Office locks the report with following settings:
  5. Password required
  6. No changing the document
  7. Allow other actions: “Printing OK”, “Content Copying or Extraction OK”, “Adding or Changing Comments & Form fields OK”
  8. NETC Coordinator’s Office:
  9. Electronically forwards Final Report to ConnDOT (Sime) and NETC Web Master who creates PDF link for the report on the NETC website.
  10. Upon receipt of NTIS Publication Number, following distribution of hard copy of report to NTIS, provides NETC Web Master with NTIS Publication Number for the web site.
  1. ConnDOT (Sime):
  2. ConnDOT (Sime) electronically submits Final Report to TRB for

creation of an Abstract in TRIS and inclusion of Report in the

TRB/NTL and notifies NETC Coordinator’s office (Secretary).

Example 4 – Adobe Acrobat Document Standard Security is used for NETC Reports

Example 5 – Adobe Acrobat Document Security settings for NETC Reports include a Master Password required to change the security permissions and passwords. The default for NETC reports shall also be to disable the ability to change document, but to allow printing, content copying and extraction, as well as adding or changing comments and form fields.
