PROCEDURE FOR POSTING END OF QUARTER GRADES in NCWISE
Part 1: Posting Marks to Report Card
1) Log into NCWISE and Go to the Main NCWISE “Teacher Assistant” screen
2)Click on SPREADSHEET
3) Choose Class and make sure reporting period is correct
4) Click on the yellow icon (lower left) that says POST MARKS TO REPORT CARD
5) Click on “YES” (to the message that says are you sure you want to continue, blah, blah, blah)
6) CLICK ON the button next to ALPHA, and click on OK
7) On the Next Screen, “TA REPORTING PERIOD MARKS”, Change/override any grades that you need to change for the quarter—USE ALL CAPS for the letter grades… (the grades will turn a burgundy color after you change them)
8) Next, CLICK ON GO TO MARK ENTRY SCREEN.
a) Enter the number for conduct in the first column (1 Satisfactory, 2 Unsatisfactory, 11 Excellent, 12 Needs Improvement) All other comments are below—or you can click on the? mark next to the boxes.
b) Enter any other comment number in the second column—DO NOT USE MORE THAN THE TWO comment columns.
(It’s faster to use your number pad and the down arrow)
c) When finished, be sure to place a check in the Mark Entry Complete box.
d) Hit the SAVE ICON, and Go out the Door
e) Go out the Door on the Next Screen, (It will prompt you with a message….Click on Continue)
You should be back at the TA GRADEBOOK SCREEN, Go back to STEP 3 and repeat through step 7 for each one of your classes.
PART 2:
For your records, Print out a copy of your “Marks Entry” that has all your comments, etc.
1) From the Main NCWISE Teacher Assistant SCREEN, Choose a CLASS.
2) Click on REPORTS
3) CHOOSE “Marks Lists”
4) Choose correct Reporting Period
5) Click on ADD
6) Click on Printer ICON
7) (Adobe should load the report)
8) Choose the Printer Icon at the top of the ADOBE FILE report
9) Hit the X (upper right corner) to leave ADOBE
10) Back on NC WISE, go out the door to the main NCWISE teacher Assistant Screen
11) Select another class
12) GO back to Step 2 and repeat steps 2 through 11
REPORT CARD COMMENTS FOR NCWISE
1 . Conduct is satisfactory
2. Conduct is unsatisfactory
3. Grade reflects incomplete work due to frequent absences
4. Performance shows responsibility, high quality work, and much effort
5. Classwork/homework assignments are unsatisfactory or seldom completed
