3. / Extra care project update
Report published. Feeback from Judith Ramsden. HW staff had met with:
Interim commissionerwhose responsibilities include extra care (Debbie Wright). Weekly project meetings to discuss 2 new extra care schmes is mainly building-focused.HW suggested meeting with WBC early 2018 to review how recommendations have been utilised.

  • NS had been advised that impact on wellbeing of people with coeliac disease would be difficult for HW to prove/measure.
  • Priority 2 - new focus on repeat prescriptions - amend page 4
  • Local Coeliac Society representative - invite toBoard meeting?
  • Priority 3 CAMHS - to be taken forward later in year
  • Priority 5 - important to get involved with BOB (Bucks, Oxon & Berks West) STP[1] on behalf of people in the borough

6. / Young people
SN outlined plans for largest ever international mental health lesson on 10 October. Young people in Years 9 & 10 from local schools to attend; also overseas schools via SKYPE. Venue tbc - possibly Reading Town Hall. Working with UoR, Anna Freud Centre, Berkshire Community Foundation, and Brighter Berkshire. Tickets free, maximum number available per school. Publicity launch planned for first week of July- group advised SN to bring forward to allow planning time for schools. SN asked for help in reaching schools in Wokingham - group agreed to pass on useful contact details e.g. Railton Blythe, Soulscape - and overseas. NS to publicise event in Wokingham Paper column. 7. / Contract with WBC
6-month extension runs until 30 Sep 2017. Tendering update: currently in Wave 1 of non-profit sector review by WBC. NS confirmed that WBC did not take up idea of joint commissiong with neighbouring authorities.
8. / Discussion: what brings in most stories & how do we best use volunteers?
Most effective: Community Research Projects, and events with big footfall such as Winter Carnival & May Fair, engagement with specialist user groups e.g. Stroke Association.
Being trialled: funnelling data from external sources (e.g. Care Opinion) into CRM (known as mashing)
Suggestions to increase stories: (i) using HWE's #ItStartsWithYou campaign (ii) redesigning leaflet (once contract confirmed)

b)VAT update - HW Hants successful in tribunal. TA noted that contingent liability reference removed from HW Wok accounts. H&C to provide more details after 15 June (end of appeal period).

  • HW website analytics (ND) - 297 different users in past 2 months. Almost 1000 pages visited. 75% new visitors, 25% returning

a) Health & Wellbeing Board (June) - HW to present on extra care. NCW suggested two questions for HWB (about ARC and Community Navigators) & gave draft wording to NS.
b) People with dementia - In response to queriesNS agreed to provide Board with figures relating to people with dementia in the borough.
